  1. Yeah it really seems like all he's lacking is to get his hands on the footy a bit more. Such a young kid, coming off an injury, and then to try and play a small forward is a tough ask. Has barely played any footy, so wouldn't be opposed to him getting a game at Casey. Just feels like it's not too far away before it all clicks into gear for him. Side note: who else celebrates every goal by a teammate as much as Kolt does. What a great team player.
  2. I wonder if a spell down back has been what has ignited his form. I've really loved seeing him play defence lately. He's looked really solid, but obviously his three goals might push him forward again.
  3. Three in a row, but also a win against the worst team in the comp. McGovern going off injured. Still relying too much on Max. Proper test against the Hawks next week
  4. It's relentless. Give the guy a goddamn break. I think some of these low-life media guys forget that these are actually real people.
  5. I agree. I know it's slightly different because he's had a career at the Saints already, but it's a bit like Billings. He shows flashes and often gets talked up in preseason, but can't seem to play consistently at the level.
  6. I hope the media and the football world can just leave Oliver alone this week, and get on with the business of the games and players involved. I'm sure there'll be plenty to talk about. Hopefully one of those things is 3 in a row for the Dees.
  7. So good to see Kolt out there again. Had a real presence.
  8. It's funny, it's like the air suddenly smells sweeter. I can birds chirping. Even food tastes better.
  9. Seems so easy! And yet..
  10. It just all feels a bit sad really. This team is a shell of what it used to be. Not sure where we go from here. Goody keeps talking about the band being back together. Feels like the band has stayed together for one too many albums.
  11. Yep. Stark contrast between the two teams.
  12. Pathetic, embarrassing performance. I don't know what happened to the team from round one but we deserved to get raked over the coals for this.
  13. Was just thinking about these three. Now that Windsor is out, we're missing a bit of leg speed this week. Can't wait to see them all out there together.
  14. I'm moving from Perth over to Melbourne in a few months, so along with my wife, there's an extra two to add to the mix. Hopefully that should shut Caro and the rest of the media up.
  15. I was waiting for this to show up! I think it's fair to say this will be a fairly popular meme for a few years to come.
  16. Six debutants!! Crikey! Very excited to see them all run out Sunday. Loved the announcement video as well. Good fun.
  17. Thanks for the training reports, folks. Loving your work 👌
  18. What a bonus that would be. Definitely has a bit of Waterman about him. Even reminds me of Jack Riewoldt. Moves a bit like him and has that determination and willingness. Aside from the obvious ones, would love to see Bowey bounce back a bit next year and be a threat with his distribution. I think we missed him last season.
  19. Who needs Houston when we have Xavier.
  20. Looks very silky, and has great breakaway speed. And similar to someone like Pendles, never really seems off balance. Really happy to have a guy like this in our team.
  21. Definitely feeling the optimism this morning. Really excited for the future with these two + our other young guns.
  22. Ready for this to all be done. Can't handle the suspense!
  23. Yeah the signs are there for sure, but I guess my point is that it's still touch and go. I'm definitely optimistic but I think we're a bit quick to assume he's part of our next premiership midfield when he's only played a short amount of time there.
  24. I agree. Yes he's looked good in patches, but is he going to be good at enough going head to head against other gun midfield groups? I'll be rapt if he is, but it's still touch and go I think.
