Well... what a finish, I think this year will be as tantalising as last year - we’ll lose to GWS miraculously and hate all of our close losses for it...! but we have a sniff’

Either way, it was a nice close game. Geelong our up a fight, Richmond came in strong in the end. I don’t have any angst towards Geelong, they beat us twice - they were both ours to win - whilst it helps our chances, good to see another tight game with two very good sides. If anything, we know our benchmark and what we need to do to get across the line.

Yeah went to ADFA too, loved the military stuff, couldn’t handle the other rubbish so left!

I’m feeling that we don’t press on Viney, Hibbo or any others having a break. I’d be happy to let Hogan take some time off, bring in one of (AVB/Pedo) for Hogan. Spargo to one of (Kent/Bugg). everyone else we should retain - I hold high hopes for next weekend, possibly even get our percentage back up to over 130% to hold back the other contenders.

Sadly, my dad lives in Adelaide, retired and has to walk past every second house displaying a crows flag - trust me, he’s a dees fan through and through - he’s at the game tonight, naturally adorned in our red and blue clobber. For those that think VandenBerg isn’t ripe enough yet, cast your mind back to the pre-season where he was looking likely to break out this year. Prior to his injury, he was highly motivated and is still today, a competitive beast. I have high hopes for him this weekend, I hope you do too - go dees!

One question to ask is this: Can we afford not to get Gaff? I.e. can we handle another team getting him instead? I would argue that the answer is no, and I’d keep everything on the table until at such time, any prospective deal doesn’t benefit us in totality.
