I don't believe we we're watching the same team wagner has done nothing, only thing going for him is his height jkh can set the vfl alight all he wants but we recruited him to play afl not vfl.. No point in having a good vfl player if they can't translate their skills kent would have to be the laziest player on our list, struggles in the vfl, I'd hardly consider that depth

So would you blame our loss on Friday 100% on injuries? Depth is a huge part

I'll name all the players who would struggle to make a contest in afl: jkh, trengove, Mitch King, hullet, garland when fit, Kent, Wagner, Mitch white I'll leave weideman off because he is developing but King hullet and White have showed no signs of afl standard by comparison thats 8 right there.

replace the players who have no future such as trengove white hullet etc. with mature ages kids are good but you can't rely on them fully , need some experience too

Imagine if a swans player threw an off the ball coward punch to a young gun like petracca or Oliver, you'd want them out for at least 10. Defending bugg is ridiculous.

He's played 4 games and showed zero signs of any potential. Cut losses and move on.

They are solid vfl players but trash afl players, recruiting some mature ages would've been a better idea such as Petrie or barlow

Well people shouldn't be so ridiculous and describe low draft picks who haven't played a game as "hodge with elite foot skills"

I never expected us to win tonight but ideally our depth players would compete and make a contest rather than turning the ball over with every disposal and not manning up

All good teams have a third ruckman they can call upon. Our third ruckman is Mitch King.. Still 4-5 years away and hasn't stood out in vfl in any games yet

Would you consider white and Wagner teenagers with great potential? id rather let the kids play out in the vfl and ply their trade while the mature ages fill those gaps until the kids are ready

Bugg is possibly the dumbest player Melbournes had for the past decade . I don't think I've ever seen such a dog act from a Melbourne player in my life. Would not be dissapointed if he was delisted at seasons end.

Improvement is good but there are always areas to improve more on, recruiting ready made mature age players is one for this years off season, just hope that hard calls are made with list management and we cut our losses

All I'm saying is we shouldn't be relying on duds like Wagner and white to try fill those holes, these guys are hopeless at afl level , better recruiting would help

We had zero forward pressure tonight along with a lack of forward options, someone's gotta get on the park and I'd rather give them a shot than someone like jkh and trengove who have continually shown they're not up to it

avb would have made zero difference tonight, he is similar standard to bugg melksham and anb what we need is some fast ready made mature aged players ala Mitch Hannan. Matt Hanson is a good candidate that springs to mind

VDB is not even a best 22 player when fully fit

Give johnstone or kielty a go, really need to see if our depth players are up to scratch

Honestly something is going wrong in the recruiting/development area, all our depth players are not up to scratch. Trengove, jkh, white, weidman, Kennedy, Wagner, max King wouldn't get a game at any other afl club this year. I know we have been crippled by injuries but we lack depth and better recruiting of mature aged depth players is needed, especially with all the six day breaks.
