  1. YEah, Jayden Hunt's lack of form was so strange. He was exactly the type of player we needed in our team, outside speed and run and he couldn't even break the team. Obviously goodwin has his reasons (maybe it was his defensive pressure) but geez we lacked speed last season. Getting hunt back into form must be a top priority.
  2. can people take heaps of photos of the new draftees tomorrow at their first training!
  3. agreed. not a good night for us last night. tom mckenzie would be the only one with a point of difference
  4. ahh im not excited by anyone left ely smith and ned mchenry were the ones i wanted
  5. I'm not sure which Ned Mchenry you are looking at but the guy is senior ready. And his game style is probably a surer thing to translate to AFL to anyone. I'd love to get him.
  6. finally toby bedford has a highlights package. i like what i see
  7. good post. i agree with every player listed here. i'd love to see jeffy back in the team.
  8. i'm probably one of the most critical posters on demonland (just go to the hogan and watts threads) but even though petracca had a down season i'm not too worried about him. He shouldn't be compared to degoey (probably the best young player forward of centre in the game) but instead to mccartin who went at pick 1. So i'm fine with petracca when i see where petracca is at. He has 2 choices. He either improves his endurance so he can play midfield or he improves his goal kicking and plays forward. At this stage i like him half forward 1.5 kicks away from goal as at this stage he is too much of a liability kicking for goal. Ive noticed when he is snapping for goal that he kicks the ball higher than he needs to and allows for it to work back far too much. if he just aimed for the middle and kicked it lower he'd fix that problem entirely. i hope the forwards coach reads this message!
  9. i'd prefer him to work on his goal kicking. a horrific year in front of the big sticks. for a 'match winner' he missed about 5 clutch goals last season to ice games
  10. you just described jack viney. He can't kick far. I think McHenry is a bit better than Spargo. His attack on the ball and man is a lot more than Spargo. and he is quicker. But i like spargo. Spargo kicked goals in our finals. Pretty good for a first year.
  11. I agree. I like O'Halloran a lot. He is a great long kick of the ball too. He can kick it 60m pretty comfortably. Only question mark is his speed I guess and he doesn't have the quickest hands.
  12. i agree, i think we need another forward and another good midfielder..but the moment you get caught uo going for needs then its a big risk. I don't want to pick up a farren ray or a kane tenace for outside speed just because we already have some good inside mids.
  13. do people think we will package up our picks?
  14. all the recruiters will know that jason taylor would love ely smith and ned mchenry. they are exactly the type of player that he loves.
  15. well yeah i agree. its just i dont have the pulling power to organise the club to do something do I..whereas its much easier to organise something for the fans.
  16. I feel like the club/fans could arrange for some sort of show of respect at our round 1 clash. Like maybe the 12th minute mark of one of the quarters everyone can stand up for a minute or something..I just think it would be a nice touch as he was a fan favourite for many years and close to many of the players.
  17. Stuff our needs. Get best available for our top 2 picks.
  18. https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-draft-2018-the-player-your-club-should-take-with-its-first-pick/news-story/081efba0341aa28af27e5f0ae63feebc Says Fraser Turner could be coming to us: Admittedly, not the best highlights package!
  19. AFL Draft 2018: The player your club should take with its first pick
  20. dude, carlton are still a long way away from being competitive. They'll lose by 15 goals.
  21. Shocking news. I feel so shocked and eerie about it all. I loved watching you play Colin and followed you so closely from under 18's, to vfl at sandy to playing with the mighty dees. R.I.P! :(
  22. gaff was grossly overrated by demonlanders. no offence guys, but he is not quick and doesnt apply any defensive pressure. people just like him because he accumulates plenty of the ball. a good trait to have but he by no means helps our speed issues or defensive pressure.
