  1. Personally I'm not worried The FD department value him There is no go home factor Players are inherently loyal to their mates ... Players ultimately want success, and would rather do it with established relationships.
  2. Sounds humble, sounds coachable. Great interview.
  3. I really really agree with this and have said it since the inception of the song. If you're familiar with the song, it can give some good goosebumps when it kicks in... it does not have that now, so for the fans...it's not as 'intense'
  4. I'm lazy, so can't be bothered looking at stats, but eyeballing Clarry's games, he's clearly and understandably had a lot more attention paid to him... thus I feel he has plateaued with his influence. So, what I am wondering (hoping) is that when Viney comes back it will free him up a bit more...is this an accurate assessment. It reminds me of Judd, who was surrounded by Cousins and Kerr - top midfielders who also allowed him to get off the leash.
  5. this'll pump em up. also, the song as my body goes up in smoke at the crematorium https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mML2fPec7xU
  6. Controversial topic... looking forward to some flaming.

Are you Tim Smiths mum @chook fowler?
  8. 100% - Jeremy Howe, is a poor mans Bailey Fritsch.
  9. harsh as [censored] pal.. you do know the ball is oval shaped, going roughly 30 metres a second...just sayin'
  10. So to make sense of this, get Lever now, best case for 2018, but really 2019 onwards ... so as Oscar will become the gorilla defender that we are after (a la Talia) - Lever will in due course fall back to a similar role... the McDonald, Hibberd, Lever alliance may be up and down as McDonald improves, fills out frame, matures in 2018, but this will be a pretty solid backline for years to come
  11. except for when he doesn't - a la spilt mark in defensive 50 when free...but that'd be me being a nit picking [censored] to prove a point.
  12. How's his leap - he is graceful...so so graceful. Close ups on TV looks like his arms would snap like twigs being broken by kindergarten kids...mind Floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee.
  13. Please explain how it’s ruined their culture for good?
  14. Apologies for nuts font size...
  15. thanks for the link @Lord Ivanhoe - he sounds like a really measured kid in those quotes- self effacing, measured and exuberant.
  16. Isn't the point of forums to contribute any point we feel is relevant (though not bigoted)... censorship I can do without, but much like TV, if you dont like the show - go to another thread, threads don't have to be opened if you don't like the topic. On a side note, people are also allowed to write with vindication, naivety, self righteousness, calmness, compassion and information they think they know from people who may or may not be in the know. It's all ok... - play the ball, not the man.
  17. Just a follow on to Goodwins game plan - had we not hit the post 3 times in the first half - 7.4 rather than 4.7 - 2nd half was proof of the philosophy for me - finally some reward for effort and the confidence that comes and the indecision and apathy from the other team. Viewing wise the first half was junk - we had a 4/4 effort today and although it doesn’t result in sexy football or sexy score lines - I’m satisfied.
  18. What should his points of agenda be in the press conference @dl4e, walk me through what you want to hear from him? I am genuinely interested.
  19. the gaels would despise that error of 'e'.

whatever happens from here - I'll always love him for his tackle on Selwood in the 3rd in round 1 - and the pain and anguish displayed.

And therein lies the beauty. Multiple talented individuals in the midfield help you as the individual out, a la Brisbane in the early 00's - Geelong now - I'd argue that if Nate dog had a few sublimely skilled mids throughout his career - he'd be valued a lot more in wider afl circles. The football club and its supporters are lucky due to birth dates and drafting that we have these 3 (and 4 with viney) to rotate being the individual talents that they are.
  24. the fact that this topic appears on a forum, is the reason they write it - it promotes any version of discussion... its merely click bait. Opinion pieces are like assholes...yadda yadda yadda
