  1. Ok, so I'll be at the game but here's some data for review on Tuesday morning. 2015 ANZAC eve match - Friday - , Richmond 2 wins (let's face it, that's important) Channel 7 Melbourne viewers 380,000 2016 ANZAC eve match - Saturday - Richmond 1 win Channel 7 Melbourne viewers 297,000 viewers. With Richmond undefeated an being a standalone match, this should be close to 400,000 on free to air tv. Being on 7mate, I'd be impressed to get to 250,000.
  2. Noticed during the Easter Monday broadcast 7 were promoting the coverage as being on 7mate, thought it was a mistake so checked on my EPG,and other online guides. https://au.tv.yahoo.com/tv-guide/94/0/#1492956000
  3. Not HD which seems to affect some more than others (I'm an other) and there's a reason secondary channels rate a fraction of the main channels each night. Casual observers won't budge, even for AFL with Richmond involved I'd reckon it's a good 50-80 thousand less viewers in Melbourne. That's less eyeballs on our players and our sponsors.
  4. Disappointing to see our first prime time match of the season has been shafted to 7mate so that Channel 7 can have My Kitchen Rules on 7HD in Melbourne next Monday night. We can't take trick.
  5. They wouldn't be able to issue a ticket with your seat on it as it's allocated to your membership. Check in at the match day office near gate 3, they ought to help you out with something.
  6. So far he is nominated for Victorian of the Year, so that's a good start. Three's a lot of misunderstanding surrounding how one becomes Australian of the Year, Neale is in the running
  7. MCC now offer club based membership benefits for all clubs (hence why they ask you to nominate a team), the MFC's the the most thorough. However as a new MCC Member I have decided to retain my Trident membership and not take up an MFC category through the MCC . As I want to sit with my wife a non MCC member in out usual seats on level 2, I don't think I could have done tht by taking up the MCC Premium option.
  8. Seems to be the "finals venue" these days. Back in the 90s used to be Vic Park, Windy Hill and Moorabbin. Previously Junction Oval was the Association's finals venue.
  9. They (7 now and ABC in the past) only ever showed finals from Port Melbourne or the designated finals venues before that. Obvious disadvantage to highly ranked teams winning a home ground final = no tv coverage. Beats my why there are three games this arvo and only one tomorrow.
  10. If you're early enough try to park on the street, otherwise the Scouts take over South Geelong station car park for about $10.
  11. A few hundred more tickets have been released this morning for anyone interested.
  12. No good. was planning on going with a Geelong supporter so the MFC allocation was out but with the redevelopment couldn't get multiple tickets when I looked late last Thursday. Personally I don't mind the game down there, wouldn't mind a year off or to play them at the G a bit more often though. I've seen 2 wins, a draw and 2 losses (including 186). Geelong fans are mostly well mannered even in standing room and take the losses well.
  13. Not sold out yet but only single seats available since I looked on Friday unless you use the resell facility. Even appears standing room might be sold out since there's no GA category to select. Seven is doing the game on the usual 90 min delay for a Saturday arvo game. Probably out of their hands and up to the AFL.
