  1. He didn't say we would trade him, just that if one of the above offers came up we might consider it.
  2. Sydney have, potentially, done everyone else in the league a favour. If Buddy continues to be a flop and it hurts the Swans financially through their salary cap then there are 17 other clubs who won't make the same mistakes they have.
  3. Hold your horses though mate, Henrietta Lumbago was on here not long ago saying he knows some girl who rates him, and therefore most Bomber supporters don't want him to go! I can't believe this turn of events!!
  4. Oh well... it will be up to the club and it's coaching team to prove everyone wrong. I'm not convinced but I'd love him to succeed just to stick it up Bomber fans everywhere!
  5. So he is probably coming to us. I say probably as it hasn't been confirmed, but it's likely going off what we know. I'm not a huge fan but I'll back the club if, and it's a big IF, we can trade something that equals his value. Bombers will know our first rounder is too high and seek a second rounder... which I still think is too high. I'd give nothing more than a third rounder if possible, but the Bombers won't go for that. I'm hoping like hell we don't go overboard to get him.
  6. Some of those are mere speculation though, particularly Bennell, Aish and Selwood. It's been stated Selwood is keen to stay in WA. But I get your point. It seems players just want to either go home these days or go running to a premiership contender. It's pathetic. How soon are clubs going to overlook interstate talent and just draft or sign players from their own state? So many players want to 'go home' these days that clubs will overlook them and just draft players where that won't be a factor.
  7. Let's wait for the inevitable 'The Spencer White Thread' or 'The Arryn Siposs Thread' with some pathetic attempt at making them seem like great recruits for us next year. If anyone does starts those threads they deserve to be banned. I hope the mods are paying attention!
  8. I know Trav personally - we never made contact with him. Was always going to the Pies.
  9. It wouldn't surprise me to see Hunt delisted as well. Pedersen is 50/50 for me, while I think they will persist with Toumpas. Terlich and M. Jones will hopefully be cut or traded for picks we won't even use, which will free up more room. The club made the 4 obvious delistings and will probably sit back and wait to see the market before making more.
  10. Can you check your sources to see if it's true though, mate? Just don't go asking anyone from our board though. Ask another clubs.
  11. I'll have whatever the Bombers are smoking.
  12. And? He isn't rated by most Bombers supporters either. And agreeing with STMJ is hardly surprising, we know you want to marry him. It's so lovely to see And temper, temper HL. No need to get snarky. I'm shaking in my boots at the prospect of him succeeding and you bringing up old posts. However will I get through the day? If he comes to Melbourne and goes on to have a good career then that's fantastic. What Melbourne fan wouldn't want to be proved wrong in that case? It's sad to see you get so excited about the prospect of proving someone wrong though. What a life you lead.
  13. I'm not surprised that we are overpaying... just that the player we choose to overpay is Melksham. Madness.
  14. When that list includes players like Dean Terlich, Matt Jones and Ro Bail... that's saying something...
  15. What a horrible waste of money.
  16. His position on this is so ridiculous that there isn't any going back so he has to stick to things like "Watts for Melksham". It's silly, I know.
  17. Is that what we are basing player movements on now? What tie they are wearing? Good lord.
  18. And that's the way it should be. I've always been a Watts fan, even though I can readily admit he has plenty of shortcomings, but we are in a position where we need to continue to build the list. If he can be traded for something that improves the list then we should do it. It's just a matter of prying something good lose from one of the other clubs.
  19. If I was Melbourne I'd pull the offer and tell him to go. No time for this sort of BS. Thanks mate. Sounds as though someone like Watts can be had... for the right price. Not surprising really.
  20. Can you elaborate? What was the question and did Roos give the Ross Lyon googly eyes?
  21. To be fair that happens with all clubs supporters. Everyone here would trade Matt Jones in a heartbeat. All of a sudden there is interest in him from a club and some posters are trying to package him in to some sort of deal to land one of their star players, as if he is suddenly worth a whole lot. Happens every year.
  22. I asked HL to do that before. Clearly it's a little harder to fit him in than he expected.
  23. You answered your own post, mate. I'd love to see how you fit him in to a best 22 side for 2016 by the way. It's not possible.
  24. With all due respect, Steve, you've based the idea on getting him on the fact he is a previous top 10 pick (which all Melbourne supporters should know means nothing) and that he is, potentially, an 'upgrade' on the list cloggers who shouldn't be getting a game anyway. He is soft, his disposal isn't great and he's a plodder. Not the greatest mix on the planet. I hope our FD have their sights set on other players who will truly improve our depth. I do find it slightly ironic that, for a bloke who bags out someone like Garland, you're happy for us to pursue someone who is nothing more than soft, depth player, but one who may be banned from playing football in the near future. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
  25. Essendon had better up their offer quickly then!!
