I hope every single Melbourne supporter enjoyed every minute of that today. That performance could not have gotten any better, and after the last decade and with what we've put up with it's so satisfying to put Carlscum to the sword. And think about this... Hogan had just one goal. Oliver and Viney were relatively quiet. Hibberd was tagged out of the game. Yet we still kicked 25 goals and made the Blues look like an Under 11 side. Melksham was BOG for me and what a recruit he has been. Not only did he kick 5 but he set up heaps with his sublime skills. McDonald kicked a bag, ANB got in on the act, Brayshaw continues to get better and better while the kids like Fritsch and Spargo are doing the same. Just a total team performance. Special mention to Bull Smith as well - he battled manfully in the ruck and did some excellent work around the ground. I love this bloody club and I hope you all do, too! DEMONS!!!!

They haven't had an I50 for the first 12 minutes this term.

Dude, you quoted me on this earlier. My post was in regards to Tommy Mac kicking his third goal for the second term. I know he has 4 goals, but he kicked three in the second quarter, which is what I was referring to. I don't know what you're not getting.

Much, much better quarter of footy. 7 goals to 2 is a big tick and proof our forward line is now clicking. We missed Tommy Mac badly in the first part of the season. Oliver, Viney and Hogan have been quiet by their standards but we are well on top which is further proof of the depth of talent and quality we have in this side at the moment. Smith has had 9 touches, 3 marks, 4 tackles and a few hitouts as well. Some are knocking him but I think he's been terrific so far.

Absolutely spot on RTG. One of the best recruits over the last few years. His cool head, good disposal and knack to find the goals have been invaluable.

Jesus are the Blues landing some of the softest free kicks you've ever seen. We are so much better than them. Tim Smith isn't doing too bad at all. Took a ripper mark deep in defence and his ability to get around the ground well is very handy.

Also, this is a classic Carlton game. They flood the contest and flood our forward line because they know how bad they are. They are fantastic at bringing the opposition down to their shitty level. We just need to keep at it and put the pressure on and they'll fold. God I hate Carlton.

Carlton are so bad. They are doing nothing but going the man after every contest and finding cheap goals. We are 4 times the side they are. We just need to settle and put it on the scoreboard. They won't go with us for 4 quarters. The 50m decision was absolute rubbish and what Max did is what every player does each time they're on the mark. Outrageous decision.
