Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
Play Vince forward if they don’t drop him, those two just can’t play in the same backline, combined with Oscar the galloping giraffe we are too slow down there

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Jack Martin? Might not demand a top pick, I haven't watched much of him this year but was highly touted as a junior.

Will Hogan be worth more now or at the end of his contract do you think?

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Cal Twomey said on Sunday he thought this draft had been overrated, I'd believe him before anyone else.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Another way of looking at things is we recruited a few very young guys also who look like they may turn out, Oliver, Weid and Spargo still all babies.

Petracca in a rut?
I vaguely remember a game in his first year, I reckon it was v WCE in Perth in the wet, he stood out out that days as having the best skills, one touch disposals, he was streets ahead of anyone on the ground in that department that day. At that moment I thought awesome, he's going to be a star, but has disappointed since. Does anyone remember that game? Maybe it wasn't v WCE?

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Hunt must stay and the club needs to go over and beyond to develop him. Reason for this and will impact upcoming trade/draft is there are rule changes coming. Ones that they hope to open the game up more. I'm a bit concerned that we may take a step back with proposed rule changes, we have plenty of meat & potatoes, but not many run and carry speedsters. Salem & Petracca were recruited and noted as having speed but I'm yet to see it. On the other hand, we are in prime position with our key forwards, keeping Hogan is a must, there may be more one on ones and they hope forwards will start kicking 100 in a season again. Guys like Petracca, Harmes as one on one forwards may be benefited by playing forward, but not midfield. I would be surprised if we aren't looking at another KPD, which would free up Lever and Hibberd and co to flanks, Lever is a 3rd man up intercept player, not a KPD. Maybe Goody is ahead of his time with the bomb it in game plan.....?! What we do need is skilled players who can kick, it has been an issue for so long and we still only have 1-2 elite kicks in our team. Having 5-6 elite kicks in our side wins us more games and takes the hard bash and crash out of many contests. It would also have us beating Port by 30+ last week. Hawks were clever years ago, they recruited elite kicks and developed them, making execution of their game plan easier. Apparently the TAC cup is trialling similar rule changes where they have to have 3 in each 50 at every stoppage? I haven't seen it but just heard it talked about and apparently looks good. While I was annoyed Hawks got to trial the proposed rule changes it gives me comfort that they have been trialling similar at U18's so our recruiters would be all over it. Has anyone watched TAC and could speak of these rules and how they're going? I personally think give the draft a miss unless there's a too good to be true player, trade all of our NQRs or guys that haven't bought in for some ready made skilled speedsters, for eg Polec, Burgoyne, Saad, Impey types. Anyway, just my thoughts but I assume the new rule changes will see more power forwards recruited along with run and carry players, whereas in the past maybe more inside players. Always a fascinating time of the year.

Run home to Finals - 2018
Big blow for Pies, I reckon he's their best mid and provides all the run and drive. Sure others like De Goey may step up but he'll be sorely missed. I had them pushing for top 4, be interesting to see how they cope, but have an easy draw

Petracca in a rut?
I can't name another player, I think Salems kicking has gone backwards or he takes the safe option chip like Lewis. It has been a problem for years, we recruit meat & potatoes, but not match winners. Our captains are two terrible kicks, how inspirational.

His kicking is ordinary, he either tries to kick the air out of the ball and just bombs it constantly. He's not a very good shot at goal for a 'forward' either- Run home to Finals - 2018
We should have finished 8th last year, this year we should be aiming higher, and I actually think internally they are as Goodwin keeps saying he knows what they are capable of achieving, make no mistake, we have failed dismally this year in big games.- Petracca in a rut?

Osteitis pubis anyone?- Run home to Finals - 2018
They worked hard, but for 10 years we still haven’t got skill or leadership in big games.- Jordan Lewis is absolutely cooked, never pick him again
We’ve had a lot of one paced players for many years now, hasn’t seemed to improved for about 10 years.- Petracca in a rut?
His disposal is average and as a forward he’s a shocking shot at goal, seems like he’s lost confidence and rushing everything and doesn’t have the tank to play midfield, really is in no mans lands and needs to have a think about what he wants from himself. I actually would try him down back, make him accountable.- Petracca in a rut?
8 disposals in Q1, then only 9 in the last 3Qs. Again went missing.- Oscar vs The Gorillas
After Q time Dixon led him up the ground (decoy) to the flanks leaving our backline exposed, clever coaching by Hinkley as he recognised Oscar was our only tall. Oscar was good before that. 10 disposals, 6 clangers, 3 frees against and 2 50’s against. Still of the opinion he needs assistance down there.- The No T$ No B$ Thread
