Injury List - Season 2018
Don't forget the WCE game is at a new ground (same size as MCG) that we haven't played on yet. Last year was at Subiaco. I'm just happy to take it one week at a time for now, we cant afford to take GC lightly, they beat Sydney at home only a couple of weeks back.

Tom McDonald?
I'm officially head over heels for Tom McDonald
-
Salem ready to make his mark
Every Time I've seen him go into the midfield he dominates the clearances, so I would assume a necessity?

Tom McDonald?
Racked up a team high 15.3km v Adelaide, just crazy numbers for a predominant forward. That's why he's been getting the chocolates and has 40 for the season. 21 in the last 7 games and 16 goals against better sides recently in Coll (6), Port (3), Geel (4) & Adel (3).

Tom McDonald?
Ah dear....haha

Losing Jack Viney
I'd prefer Gawn as captain and Lever as VC.

Salem ready to make his mark
Underrated season IMO. Goes about his business quietly, quite hard at it and courageous, beautiful left foot and to my relief, taking more kick ins in recent weeks. Doesn't get the credit like Oliver and Gawn etc but has become a very important playmaker for us. This season he's averaging 20.1 disposals per game at 73% efficiency along with 4 tackles and 3.4 rebound 50's to go with his 346m gained. Has had games of 29 disposals, 28 and two 27's. The good thing is he's a "kicker" of the footy and sets up a lot of play. This year he has had career highs in marks, goals, tackles, clearances, goal assists, i50's, rebound 50's, stoppage clearances, centre clearances, contested and uncontested possessions. I quite like him when he plays in the midfield as it provides something different along with Brayshaw and Oliver. From memory the NM game he dominated the midfield and turned the game himself. I like the idea of him playing wing or HF for his delivery, but thank god he's been playing down back while we have been undermanned. Has played 17 games and only missed 1, so is finally getting a decent crack at some continuity and has been developing nicely. Underrated player.

Changes v Gold Coast Suns
We seem to get ourselves into these situations, Viney is another that can't play anywhere else other than inside mid.

All Australian watch
I think at the time of my post he was a lock AA40 and many experts had him in the AA18, however he has definitely slowed up in recent weeks. I remember he got a bad head knock in I think the Port Adelaide game? He certainly gives his all, one of my favourites. In the Geelong game he was the only one trying to spoil Tuohy. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I think when Jetta slows down he'll slow down quickly, no doubt he plays sore for 23 weeks a year. I tossed up the idea of finding a replacement for Jetta as I think he'll fade away, I'm surprised the club decided on 3 years though, 2 would've made more sense, just like Lewis. I agree Jetta is down on last year, Hibberd also.

Losing Jack Viney
I definitely agree with that, he was starting to let go of that over aggression and gel, good pickup
-
Losing Jack Viney
You’re right, Vineys over aggression and not so bright bull at a gate play gets in the way, he needs to be smarter not harder.

ROUND 19 - Non MFC games
Apparently on the weekend, I think it was Longmire, said Buddy has only trained for 20mins in total for the whole season. So definitely been injured all year
-
Jake Lever recovery
Will play this week imo

Jake Lever recovery
He did. He said it's a 12 month injury normally but he hopes to be fit by round 1. We wont know until next year how he's tracking unfortunately

Tex and Jenkins, softest big men in the game
those ears would be close to 7kg each.
-
Jake Lever recovery
Jake himself said not long after he did it that he'd be out for 12 months. So we should all assume that's the minimum, any less and it's fantastic.
