I'm with you. Even today, he should have come out and said "we are now looking at ways to get May and keep Hogan." Not his best effort and Freo are using it against us as they know we need to trade JH.

Mahoney should have said "we are now looking at ways to facilitate a trade for May without needing to with Jesse."

You of all people should know that nowhere did I say Jesse had nominated Freo in any official capacity, all I said was, according to Mitch Cleary, Jesse has said he wants to play for them, the rest to me is common sense, maybe not for some.

So would Freo make an offer if Jesse didnt want to go there?

OK, I'm not answering this question again, it's getting tiresome. As I said, Mitch Cleary said it and common bloody sense would say Freo wouldn't have put him through a medical, wouldn't have put in an offer for Jesse if he didn't want to go there or hadn't agreed. And for the process to get that far all parties would have agreed to salary and terms, this is common sense, if you can't work that out then I can't help you.

Mitch Cleary said he wants to be at Freo next year. Players don't need to come out and say anything, I'm not sure why everyone is thinking that, they can agree behind closed doors, like May would have. As I said, he wouldnt of done a medical if he didn't want to go there. Nor would Freo put in an offer if didn't want to go there. Hope is the first sign of denial around these parts (not directed at you).

A few thoughts, I think Mahoney coming out and saying we can't land May without moving on Jesse could be a driving factor in Freo's offer also, I reckon Josh would like to take those words back however Freo are just about proving themselves as not worth dealing with by any club, their negotiation process and hard stance from the outside looks like total disorganisation. They could have sent Neale on his way and landed both Hogan and Lobb by now and focused on bringing in more trades, this from a club that nobody has wanted to go for years and they have 2 who do want to now (yes Jesse has told them he wants to play for them). Seems like West Coast may still be interested and I hope Gold Coast come knocking with their picks also, Jesse could be a marquee player for them for 10 years and the AFL will pay his salary or help out at least. Work out a deal with May, KK maybe Jack Martin or some decent player (KPF depth)and get it done. I do think Jesse will end up at Freo at this stage, but they'd want to get cracking. What a basketcase of a club, basically holding up many other clubs doing deals while they're at it too. The way they've conducted themselves this trade period is an embarrassment and I would be [censored] off if I was a member. Anyway, I think it was a pretty slimy move from Freo trading their pick 6, trying to make us fold, but buckle up, the more clubs come knocking the better now and it'll all come back to bite them. But, the fact Jesse has said he wants to go to Freo, I don't want him next year now, before that I wasn't phased either way, so long as we get what we ask, which is 2 first rounders or similar.

That's the issue, if Freo finish say 10th next year it's only pick 8-9 they'll have.

Freos stubborness could stuff everything up here if Crows get pick 5.
