  1. Exactly, he saw the opportunity and took it. He no doubt realised the consequences of his actions very quickly and felt sincerely sorry about it...not really the point is it. He may have been upset that he'd let his team down, knowing that he may get a lengthy suspension.
  2. Typical Cats, trying to get on the front foot to spin the whole thing. I couldn't care less about Stewart's "apparently" amazing ability to refocus and impact the game in the later stages or that he's such a great guy and didn't mean it. He could have meant it and nobody would be the wiser. Also, how about Prestia's opportunity to impact the game, he could easily have been the difference in that game. Anybody would think Stewart was the victim, the way the media bang on about it. Sorry, Scott and the Cats [censored] me to tears.
  3. Not sure if I'm seeing things but the Cats appeared to get the rub of the green all day long.
  4. Not taking anything away from the win, the boys were ruthless and I expect we would have won irrespective of how well the Lions played, but our opposition looked very flat tonight. They just never got going really, so their atrocious record at the G continues. Whether by design or attitude that was a huge turnaround in intensity by our boys.
  5. That was selfish play Fritsch
  6. [censored], I hope our mids are on, good ball inside 50 and they'll be tough to hold, even with our backline.
  7. He was also a brilliant defensive wingman last year taking intercept marks further up the ground. I also think he is more polished than JJ who is currently unloading with long bombs into the forward line. I wouldn't be against that move, especially now that Salem is getting some games under his belt.
  8. Would that also mean we have to play both M Brown and Weid...lord no!!
  9. Out: Sparrow, Turner, M Brown In: Rivers, May, Weid Agree with others who have suggested Brayshaw back to the wing. We need his defensive efforts higher up the ground and Rivers can take his spot on the flank. Jordon to the bench and playing a more defensive role in the midfield rotation. May a direct swap for Turner and Weid for Brown. Not sure why I prefer Weid, maybe he's a fractionally stronger mark but neither will kick bags so we are at the bottom of the barrel regardless. We just need to pick one and stick with them.
  10. The thing that I'm not seeing this year which was a key element of last year is a zoning defence. Last year we were almost impenetrable and could absorb attack after attack without breaking a sweat...so has the competition worked us out or has our defensive structure faltered?
  11. ...May's opponont...and losing Disco from an already weakened backline hurt us badly today. Brayshaw was brilliant and Salem was serviceable but that was about it for the backs. I haven’t seen Lever so sloppy and error riddled as he was today, just terribly out of form.
  12. Pretty slim pickings in our forward list once you take T Mc out. I'm not enamoured with either player and currently can't see us kicking a winning score...but [censored] the delivery into those boys was terrible today.
  13. Can't see us coming back from here.
  14. Hey Rod, have you heard anything else RE. Salo. He didn't have his knee iced in the last quarter. Uncertain if this is a good thing, but he seemed pretty chipper.
  15. Very solid, gotta love those grinding wins. Gave them very little after their run in the second. Still, we need to be able to stop those runs. If we can arrest the runs it will be very scary for our opponents.
  16. Ugh, killing me.. putting the kids to bed and can't watch 🤣
  17. Thanks Binman... I'm extremely stressed about Salem. Couldn't hack losing him for an extended period.
  18. It wasn't that long ago that many of our boys lacked class by foot and by hand. Well I can say that our disposal as a side has come on in leaps and bounds, including seasoned players and our youn blokes. If LD butchers the footy, I reckon our coaching team can help him improve, actually I have the utmost confidence.
  19. He does that kind of thing a bit, something I hope he gets out of his game.
  20. Can't say I disagree...I doubt I would pass after last night!!
  21. Apparently he was concussed but not tested according to Heater and Daisy show, but not sure of the reliability of that info. Looking at the event though, it wouldn't surprise.
  22. Hang in there Saber, me too mate.
  23. I honestly want to vomit, this is not good. I think I can safely say everyone on Demonland is feeling very similar.
  24. Petty is our only tall defender, May looks injured and Lever has been really scrappy. Also, we don't have Smith as an emergency to cover May. TMc hasn't fired a shot up forward. If May can't play we need to get him off, move TMc forward and put JJ on the tag.
