  1. Still think his best position is the defensive wingman role he played last year.
  2. Whilst I'd hate that our supporter base was anything like Collingwood's but we can't deny the influence that their crowd has on their team. It's like having an extra couple of players on the ground and absolutely drives their momentum shifts. Our players hear crickets by comparison.
  3. What was the story with our tackling? The Swans seemed to walk out of so many tackles, they just weren't sticking and it's not like they have a team of bulls.
  4. A weaker team with no passengers can easily beat a team with half a dozen champions. Unfortunately we had a lot of passengers.
  5. Brilliant high-pressure game from the Swans. We couldn't win clean footy by hand at the contest, which breaks down our game style. Clarrie seemed like the only player with clean disposal, Tracc struggled after injury, Gus didn't impact, Viney ok early but went missing. Constant fumbles, miskicks and handballs by many, but especially Salem, Harmes, ANB. I don't know how our forwards have a chance against good sides with this gameplan. On the upside, we should beat the Lions next week, but after that I reckon we're [censored].
  6. May and Oliver vs Sydney...we did alright considering.
  7. Just can't kick goals when we need the [censored] slip over, shank it. Frustrating to watch. Then they are clean, we won't beat this side this year.
  8. They are a good side the Swans and I don't see us coming back from here unfortunately. Our defence worried about and distracted by their smalls so their forwards are getting more space. If they prevent us scoring in the first 10 minutes we are done.
  9. [censored] around with the football again. Is this a second half of each quarter thing.
  10. Salem has been very ordinary tonight.
  11. When trac moves out of the midfield we start losing clearances. Can he just stay there all game?
  12. Disposal has been ugly this quarter.
  13. Might end up playing the Pies at this rate.
  14. Great quarter Demons, that second spot is looking a possibility. I still can't help thinking the Saints will roll over and cop a flogging of their own.
  15. Has Jacko signed that contract yet?
  16. ...and unfortunately the Lions are a better side than the Saints, so advantage Swans.
  17. Significantly, in my opinion. Goody has mentioned previously mentioned that he will be under continuous management for the rest of his career.
  18. 6. Brayshaw 5. Oliver 4. Melk 3. Max 2. Petty 1. Hunt
  19. Depends on margins it could also be at the G.
  20. Yeah, I haven't even convinced myself that he should be dropped either 🙂. Also, I don't know that he actually meant the ball to go into the corridor, good play if he did. I thought he wound up for a longer bomb and just shanked it there.
  21. Interested in Demonlanders opinion on Lever's form at the moment. From my eyes, he's in horrid touch, almost looks as though he needs glasses at times given his reading of the ball in flight. At ground level he regularly gets wrong-footed and is giving away some awkward free kicks. When he does get boot or hand to ball it seems to be one shank after another. Is a change warranted and who for?
  22. ...and maybe getting the monkey off the back and winning a hard fought, close game will give us a further lift.
  23. Maggots doing their best to keep the Pies winning streak running.
