It always fascinates me how everyone has a different take on games. I didn't think Petty was that good today. Although he had a very good last quarter. He seemed to struggle marking with only one for the day. But below his knees he was good for the height he is. I think maybe his class today was just presenting often as a target and creating a contest so players like Kozzie and a few others could get their fill. A few crucial assists from him. Yea good call re Viney. Aj is probably a little harder. It would be nice to see Jvr back. I've heard differing accounts of his performance at Casey but mostly positive. I think Roo offers more in the marking arena so he would be my preference. But Aj did create some havoc as you say although some of it was for us. But I don't doubt his commitment. As for Tmac, I'd prefer him to Lever but another hard call. I mean you want a firing Lever Everytime. He was of course understandably rusty today. Some good headaches to have. Our depth compared to last year is better and the sign of a good club for sure.

Should be a ripper cast this week too.

Is Langdon the incarnation of Charles Atlas, Cliff young, Michael Jordan and Carl Lewis combined? He must be one of the fittest players in the competition. Rumor is that he jogs to and home from games and while if true, even more incredulous because a mate of mine reckons he lives in his street in Beaumaris. And credit to our fitness staff at the club for turning things around with our stamina. Not least of all for Clarry. We are finishing games so much more strongly now. And a shout out to the team for putting the foot down on the accelerator in the last quarter and show some genuine desire to bury a team.

I'll openly confess I called for his head. I'll go to confession this week. You are correct, aside from resting Tmac he made a fine selection and has turned out mob around from cellar dwellers to contenders. It's hard to keep a lid on this excitement but if we win next week, I'll even go to Mass.

I thought we were generous to pass the yipps onto Sydney in the final quarter instead of hogging them all day but I must protest the iffy 50 m penalties that gave them 25 percent of their goal tally.

I'm not shocked when I see KP play like that. Although I should be, as he could have had eight goals. He is a superstar of the game now. Worth the price of a ticket. But I'm more happy seeing players like Oliver and Bowey playing their best again. Salem too, to a lesser degree. I think Sparrow is getting better. He plays well in the forward line and should spend more time there. He applies a lot of pressure and on a day like today needed for his accuracy. I thought May was Ok. Didn't kill it and Lever was obviously rusty. But Turner is now our best tall defender. Tracca had a good day in his 200 th and showed his brilliance in the last. He has explosive acceleration off the mark. Still struggles like Max to kick goals. Although when they did today, they were crucial. Fritta showed some flair so that is another improving. Young Lindsay was solid and Sharp came on and strutted his stuff. AJ struggled but came very good in the last. He's not pretty to watch but he gives it a red hot go with a lot of mass coming at his opponents. Who else?.....Shame on me...Max of course. But like Kozzie he's just always on. Well more so in my opinion . I think if Langdon played more consistently he could be there with those two. Supreme running and skills from him today. Uncanny awareness of his teammates locations. Melksham continues to bother coaches. He's a hard player to cover. But most of all, I loved the love the blokes had towards one another. Sydney may have looked poor but it's only because we pressured them relentlessly today forcing errors, self doubt and a constant quest to go backwards or for the safety of the boundary line. At the end of the day with our wayward goal kicking, it was in fact a massacre. And we are well and truly heading for the eight if we keep this up. Next week we are in the heart of this great country where I expect Kozzie to go to even further heights. I said earlier today there was a pulse again in this team. I was wrong, it's more like a geisher of spirit and determination. Footy has gotten great again.

Agreed our pressure was so strong it was fascinating to see Swans players seek the boundary line so often.

You seem a little flat with some of these perhaps JB. Some more superlatives perhaps.
