  1. Power v Pies tonight This is a clear case of the saying.... The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Go Port Kill them.
  2. As frustrating as it is Hawks have done well counter punching goal after goal.
  3. 3 goals in 4 mins folks.
  4. You ever been to Castlemaine? Colder than a witch' s .....you know .
  5. Is it game on?
  6. It's a great expression. I mentioned it l or a couple of reasons. One I get nostalgic in my older years. And two with the massive cost of living pressures ATM people should remind themselves they have choices. Not all places in Oz require you to mortgage your soul and left N#t to ave a roof over head. Yea employment wise people don't always have that option but smart people can always create opportunities to make cash anywhere. I had family this way so it helped but yea some of my Melbourne mates have been crushed with interest rates in the last three years. It's affecting their health and denying them time with their kids other than footy. Footy really comes into its own when you can share it with the kids. Quality time for everyone. And for the gents, if you can snag a lass that loves footy or can talk her into it, your set for life. Unless of course she's a pies supporter. It's divorce court for you I'm afraid or silence and chastity for six months a year.
  7. Agreed. That was my point. Stats don't paint the full picture and at half time this was completely the case here They may win by ten but it's at a crucial junction right now. But if Dons get the next one I'm gonna back them. Quick edit two mins later. Your right ten goals here we come.
  8. Due to property prices and two failed spinal fusions that stuffed up my laryngeal nerves and made my pain worse , I moved out of Melbourne and the real estate and property development business to a regional town in Northern Wollongong It's a beautiful place , 20 mins north of the city. It's the Pacific ocean meeting the breath taking huge escarpment of rainforest. We live in a 4 bedroom pole/ tree house alongside Wallabies, imported dear, Echidnas, Blue tongues , plagues of cicadas, tree frogs, parrots cockatoos, rosellas, galahs, blue finches and lots of snakes and Kookaburras. We walk out our back yard along hiking trails through the rain forest to see creeks and small cascades to relax by. We gather firewood to warm is in the short winters and boogie board in the Summer to cool down. So it has it pluses. Including the benefits of a big city Wollongong and if needed a one hours drive to Sydney. Also the equity of our sold Melbourne abode exchange , acquired two homes fully paid for here. But when I see the MCG all lit up like tonight my heart yearns for my old home. Sure the crime here is less and the air is cleaner but it just can't beat the excitement of watching a game at the G. The screws have tightened recently and returns to my home city are far and few between. Just wanted to remind everyone that the gras may be greener somewhere else, but never as green as the grass on the hallowed turf of the MCG.
  9. Sicily reminds me of milkshake. Why don't Hawks play him fwd more?
  10. It's been a face paced game with big momentum swings so technically Dons are still a chance. But a few quick unanswered in the first five will probably seal it if it's not already. My brother in law will.be insufferable.
  11. They accounted for Swans quite well last week so sadly they may be very good. I would not get carried away with the superlative great. It's Hawthorn. Yuck.
  12. Dons have out tackled, smashed the clearance count and even slightly few more frees. But Hawks precision by foot and their run and carry and marking, make them look like finals contenders.
  13. Maybe Hawks are the real deal this year. I hope not. Mcg at night all lit up is a stellar sight.
  14. I always liked him but I've never missed old Frosty.
  15. This is a cracking game.
  16. Players should be pinged for dropping the knees to get the head high contact. Always.
  17. Just can't decide who I hate the most. Sometimes you just watch a game and find yourself barracking 1for a side for no real reason. I know I hate Essendon but the underdog thing is kicking in. They needed that goal.
  18. Playing like Maynard's driving.
  19. That tigers player can go fishing next round or two.
  20. Decent crowd. Go Richmond.
  21. It's hard being a father. So credit given Binners. We are so often the least in the pecking order. Footy is the one big refuse we get in today's hectic plethora of demands of bills, car services, lawns mowed, gutters cleaned, tax returns and a growing list of other demands. But footy really comes into its own when it can be shared with our better halves and our kids and their kids. How awesome to share our passion of our club with the loves of our lives. It even makes up for all the losses we take.
  22. Seems to be really struggling with his body. A bloke that has always gone exceptionally hard at the comp and seems to unfortunately be paying the price.
  23. If Milkshake gets up and about this year given all his injuries past and present, it will be a phenomenal effort. And I will add, a much needed one. At his best he is an absolute gun but he has always seemed to struggle to keep his form constant and play a string of many great games. I still believe his injury against the Swans cost us a flag. Yea, he's one player but he was in career best form when he went down in an already what was then a much depleted fwd line.
  24. Well said. As opposed to giants efficiency it played its usual part. Sadly the praccy game v freo didn't show any improvement in this department.
