TEAMS: Rd 14 vs St. Kilda
And yet they sit well above us. On paper most pundits remark about the quality but we are struggling again. Its not injuries this year either.

And a tried and tested crumber up forward

Joe Daniher
Dont get lets just stick with 2 quality forwards. Last week we were worried 3 of our ruck options were out. Injuries are a huge factor in the moden game and its smart to be able to cover them.

Josh Wagner back into the side
Id prefer the other Wagner.

You might be right about Lord Nev. Sad though. Has been a huge part of past success.

TEAMS: Rd 14 vs St. Kilda
Wow 6 changes. Not for a long time. Happy for Tmac not to get a gig but tough on Lockhart. Preuss obvious but J wagner is a head scratcher. Fritta has kicked quite a few so Im not sure where our goals are going to come from. Omac makes me nervous. Rivers in is a good call. Cant say Im confident and once again in that familiar Dees stage of watching other games hoping for results to go our way.

MFCs greatest need.
More supporters. Much more. Always wonder why we dont thrive in this are. I thought it was connected to lack of success but the tigers had a huge drought and their base is huge. I also thought that people moving to melb would choose the dees because of the city name but it hasnt translated to more fans. Oh and a flag would be nice. I hear you Soidee, the fact of the matter is our lack of premiership just plain hurts. It aint getting easier to get one with the expanding number of clubs. Whatta you gunna do? You know you should do something...but you wont...so it doesnt matter.

Tom McDonald
Paradoxically, I'd still play Weideman deep and keep Tom roaming. Weideman is starting to look dangerous deep and will begin to worry defenders the more his confidence grows Weid is good as a deep frwd but we definately need someone who can come down the ground and clunk 6 or 7 marks so the idea of tmac deep is probably an idea to consider with Jackson out. Otherwise I cant see a place for Tmac.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Western Bulldogs
Ive come to the conclusion at this late stage of my life that Id be satisfied to see just one premiership and then watch the replay religiously every gf day thereafter. Or I get a taste of what it feels like and hunger for some more. Alas I get ahead of myself? If we could can the collective angst this team generates amongst it supporters we could release it when all the fossil fuels are gone and keep the lights going until 3030.

CHANGES: Rd 14 vs St Kilda
Agree with most of this except Spargo. Bloke has played 2 very good games out of a grand total of 3 for the year. Give him some sort of chance. We have given others far more leniency.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Western Bulldogs
Yep Kardinia park or whatever they call it is the last of the great Vic unbeatable fortress of homeground avantages. As such it has kept the cats as contenders above the skill of their line up for the last 20 years. Its the same rason port...crows and eagles have enjoyed success. Home ground familiarity...crowd...swayed umps and conditions. Wish we had one.
