GAMEDAY: Practice Match vs Bulldogs

Thank God for Lever and May. With players like Jones and Tmac still around its a worry. Not sure what Tomlison brings and poor Jetta seems a shadow of the champion he was. Harmes needs to step up in the absence of others but has not been great. ANB likewise. -
Anyway you slice it, a forward line of Brown, Weid and Jackson is pretty hard to nullify. I hope we can get another crumber to help out. Backline sorted. Mids sorted. Frwd line sorted. Go Dees.

Tmac was 26 last year when it went downhill for him. At 32 Tom Hawkins is in fine form. -

Its a shame it finished like this. Nice words D3. Best of luck Harvey with future endeavors. -
I'm curious to know haw fast Sprago is. I know hes not tall but he seems to move quick at times. Hunt did not get a mention Langdon is up their for endurance. Trac has good initial acceleration.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN

Interesting that 32 yo T.Hawkins is still going strong. At the right price 3 years seems reasonable. Maybe he is injured. It seems rash of Norf to let him go. -
Me neither. At leaat I got Tmac correct.

If we are going to keep him then this is my choice too. Fritta on the wing. Hunt up forward.

If the price is right we should welcome him with open arms. -

It wouldnt hurt at the right price. Jacko may replace Max at times if we unload the hybrid. Both of these guys have not come close to Coleman status. Not having a dig. Jacko just starting. Ill say it again 60 goals plus , 3 years in a row in an average team. -

The same with those here saying absolutely not. Has been one of the games great. Its not like he kicked all those in a premier team either. -
Oliver Rumours on Footy Classified
leave it to deever replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
We were touted as being a "destination club a couple of years back". If we dont show some serious umprovement with our current list and make finals consistently then its understandable good players are tempted to leave. We have lost quite a few in the past and clubs like ours get stuck in a rut of low performance. I dare say we are not a destination club nor glamour club by any stretch. I hope Oliver stays and contributes towards our success. -

They may be in similiar positions but Brown is a much better bet. Tmac has had 2 shocking seasons in a row. He has only had 1 successful year as a forward. Most of this time with Hogan in the side tmac pulled the 2nd best oppo defender. Prior to this season which wasnt complete and very topsy turvy Brown kicked 60 goals plus 3 years in a row with every teams best defender on him. 60 goals plus for 3 successive years is Elite. Nmelb are making a big mistake. We should grab him for the right price. -
Best and Fairest Top 5

Its kinda of worrying I think we could struggle to find a top 8. -
How does a wooden spooner get so many free kicks. Crows fans are shockers. So are the umps this year.
-
His lack of tackling in those 2 losses was a worry. Perhaps Brown should have come in much sooner.

Smart move. Fritta would be better utilised further down the ground. Not because of his recent poor shhoting at goal but with his marking be a good link out of our defence. Also with his build he is more suited there as he can get outmuscled. Thrives in space. Weid at chf. Jackson at ff. However these 2 are still unproven prolofic scorers and someone like Cameron for example that can come straight into ff and kuck 40 a year would be nice. If we can unload Tmac in some way it would help with the $. Perhaps he would do well in a club that needs a proven fb defender. Melksham doesnt seem to trouble the sboard anymore and as such like tmac the club has been trying him in different roles. As much promise as sw and Jackson have shown I believe it risky to bet on them just yet. -
This is accurate. Can I suggest retire our wonderful servant in dark times Nathan Jones. Perhaps a kept on in a coaching role . Trade Melksham. Delist Smith. ANB a possible trade. One good game towards the end of the season isnt everything. Despite the week of hell, losing 2 innable games the club seems in a position to certainly improve if we implement the above. May and Trac have become what we hoped for. Langdon is a star. Much promise in Rivers and Jackson. If we can find just ONE 40 plus ff and a good crumber than we will be lloking good. Hopefully we will also have around 10 new players to pick from rather than shuffling the usual suspects.

Sorry Dd. I find your analysis very good but really?

This. Thanks. Time to go.... so very many. Maybe Hunt redeemed himself so there are about 10 to let go.
