Umm I think I'll take back this post.

Thanks ding , you are correct. I forgot the "absolutely" which makes it even worse because it was an adverb of degree creating more expectancy.😃 You have a good memory.
-
Umpiring very poor.

Gotta love him for his inane remarks . I was particularly impressed with one of his comments during the gf last year.... "And the Melbourne fans are going....." That was it ......VERBATIM. That was his complete comment . He didn't even bother to finish it with at least a 3 letter word like..nuts...off...mad. It was all too much for him. I wonder how much they pay him because my Spoodle has a fair bit of time on her hands.

She's probably been hanging around the odd Collingwood cheer squad member expanding her lexicon of lewd language.

If you kick the ball over the boundary line on purpose.ie insufficient intent or a player who deliberately walks across the boundary with ball in hand...then why isn't it a free against a player who walks across the line when tackled? It's kind of like a get out of jail free.

And wasn't it so sweet. And removed all Lions teeth and claws. Meow.

Umm ...I think I'll take back my call of bkiescroliing Pies about now.

Now that's real comittment

Good and honest post Redleg. Yes we all want to see him shine. But he has been given many chances and not really taken most of them. He shone in a few games this year so he wasn't all bad. Yet he has had on balance more bad games....(below average ) than... good ones. But let's be honest.. it's now a case of getting too late. Possibly knows he can't get into the senior side anyway but he may with injuries or Covid protocols. With those stats though , one would risk someone else. He seems like a lovely bloke but he has had a lot of pressure on him from the start coming from footy royalty. I'm not saying it's the same thing as Jack Watts and the attention and expectations on him. That was insane from day one and the club played him way too early in a big Pies game. Often pressure can come from ourselves....ie I sometimes felt I let my dad down not achieving some of the things he did. Anyway, I feel for the guy...he probably feels he's let people down too. The question is do we keep him? Glad I'm not the one naming such decisions or the one having to tell people to move on. If he moves on and leaves footy behind, I hope he discovers its just a game and while a lucrative career for many, there's plenty of career options for a young healthy man in this big exciting world. Maybe he'll just end up playing for the love of the game and do something as as a paying job completely different. Or maybe a new club and break from ours could see him come much better. I wish him nothing but the best and I feel bad for any criticism I've made of him. Getting to play even one senior Afl game is something to put front and centre on one's resume. ( sorry Dstone, I'm sure there's something that goes above the e on the word resume). Never give up on one's dreams. Sometimes they require a little altering but they are always achievable if you are willing to compromise. It's not a cliche. (.now I remember acute accent. ) Any way that's my positive message for the day.

The joy on Lever's face when he kicks his first MFC goal. Priceless. About 51 sec mark
-
I'd say at a guess we probably just took our foot off the fas and didn't go as hard. At ten goals up who would keep risking an injury on the eve of finals? I think that is smart self preservation for themselves and the team.
-
Will be watching the Pies v blues game. I think the latter may win. I hope they do. That hope is the least I can do following our win that gutted all of their supporters. Besides I want Cwood's confidence taken down a few pegs going into finals.
-
Just a wild guess but I'd say your net worth is higher than mine. Tx for posting this.

It sure was and winners at last has used the mist appropriate emojii we have....the vomit one. That should be more than a week. Nibbler us a tough cookie and to be doubled over spewing is not a good look for the afl and 1 week isn't a strong enough statement. Face or stomach it's still a person your whacking and one could argue a stomach punch that makes you vomit had definite intent to cause severe pain. A malicious dog act into.
-
That ankle was bad. I think he played on after they taped it. Gutsy effort.
-
And I reckon we have the best. Look at the temperaments between the two. I hope Max is around for a while but I wonder who our next captain will be. It will be a tough act to follow Layzie, that's for sure. Well just checked the time and realised it's past Makers Mark on ice. Silly me. Good night chaps. Tx for the chats and news.
-
I've got a feeling the Blues will roll the Pies tmrw. Should be a good game. Sydney won't go above us. Saints will put up enough resistance. And of course the cats to go out of the finals in straight sets. Poor Mr Scott. They will really turn on him then. So sad😃

Good point. Please close.
-
Tx Dl. Answerth should have got 2. Anb was vomiting. What a sucker punch.
-
Langers should have appeared after the game in a neck brace.

Yea but swans are like us....they can score very quickly. As for crowd I'm always surprised at how many sth melb fans come out of the woodwork. But if we play like last night it's all semantics I reckon we will smash anyone and walk into a prelim then a gf on our hallowed mcg. It's not just the back to back aspect...it's winning at the Mcg that's important. Last years gf in Perth doesn't take anything away from the shine of the cup but it would be nice for supporters to go and watch. Finals are upon us and I even remembered this year to cancel kayo in time so Mr Murdoch can't buy any more ivory toothpicks. I'm no iconoclast...nothing wrong with making a quid but 25 billion of them seems a tad greedy. But that's just me and my conscience talking. Sorry bout that murdoch fans. I do like kayo and it's even fairly priced but once again I digress. Yes dees v swans in our first final. How exciting.

I guess it's almost a certainty we play Sydney but I suppose there is a small chance it could be Pies. Who do we prefer?
-
Good call. For it to be front and centre in the media would probably just add to his pain. Well said Jaded. I forgot he was Captain. Talk about hard up for choices.
