  1. Their still going especially in Nsw. They had " Show me some discipline." "Alone with you tonight." " Happy man." Some great riffs amongst those three.
  2. What happened to the last saints mid we picked up?
  3. My earliest recollection of gambling. I reckon I only got about two or three as well. And I bought a ton. I used to buy them from the funds of bottle collecting. I went through a stage where much to my parent's ire, I hoarded empty bottles around the side of the house instead of returning them. Turned out to be quite fortunate as one night the refund went from ten to twenty cents. My portfolio had doubled and it was sunnyboys and comics galore. One thing of yesteryear I really miss is the fireworks. Joy robbers. Probably for the best. Oh what fun they were.
  4. I wonder what the median age of posters is on Dl?
  5. All a tad fishy.
  6. I loved the pineapple slice. But paddle pops were pretty good. I remember just a plain icy pole cost only 5 cents. Probably costs five times that every hour today just to keep em frozen.
  7. https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/673350/peters-barney-banana-ice-cream Maybe better than paddle pops.
  8. As a kid that was probably the most expensive ice cream ever purchased. Probably returned three or four empty coke bottles as a down payment. I won't mention Mr whippy or uncle Bitters will probably chime in.
  9. More of a Cornetto connoisseur. Partial to odd Gaytime. But that's really none of your business.
  10. https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/106304/paddle-pop-streets-ice-cream-banana Will have to get some of these. Tx. They make them sound healthy. Not. Not sure if these contain any fruit. I think they used to be 20 cents each.
  11. Guess the caffeine improved one's aim.
  12. Remember the if you had yellow writing on the inside of packaging, you got a free one.
  13. Sunnyboys and Razzes ( not sure if that's spelt right)...the frozen pyramids that after you sucked all the flavor out of you could chuck the remaining pointy ice brick at the St Michaels kids on the city bound side of Windsor station. Easy pickings.
  14. So it's back to this. Gee I really miss footy. What about Orange frosties?
  15. I understand the need for the dollars from the Nt game plus it's good for footy. But we have a better record at the G and less fatigue from travel by playing at home. But ultimately we want flags. Focus on wins and cups and we will be better off. Given the amount of travel we did this year including the never ending compulsory trip to Kardinia, I'm all for giving the Nt venue a miss.
  16. All been there. Nice post.
  17. Thanks Gunna. I'd say the answer is No.
  18. They do well to jump on the ball and shut play down.
  19. JV deservingly a lot of love on this thread.
  20. This really sucks. We are such pushovers according to the afl, in so many ways.
  21. Keep the bustards honest. You've got my vote WCW.
  22. What a double whammy. Well called.
  23. From a Melbourne perspective let's be honest it was a crappy ending so the season sucked. Congrats to the club for making finals but so many things seemed to just go wrong. It's a credit that with all the injuries we still could have gone all the way but poor skills ruled the day. To see a team that we could have beaten scrape through all their finals win a flag is the final slap in the face. Hard not to feel robbed but I do believe we will be a force again in 24 with a better list and less unlucky .
  24. The non advantage call was massive. Timing and position made it even worse. What a bad umpire to call advantage before anyone even knew a free had even been paid. The free was for a clear trip and and not two seconds after the whistle or a second after a lions player kicked it straight up in the air, its play on. If there is no clear advantage or you are not sure then just stop. It ain't too hard. How many times this year have we seen pedantic umpires calling back players to kick over the mark. What a panic merchant that umpire was.
