  1. Yeah good bunch thanks mate. Kane Williamson (NZ)
  2. To answer the Q HT, I was in Europe for a month loving life and now I've back and started teaching prep. Probably no use apologising to you lot, but I feel like I've let the standard down (i.e. nfi that I already had 4 bowlers!). Kohli popped into mind about two weeks ago but just slipped the brain, amazing indeed. Good get Rogue.
  3. Geez - the more I look at selections, the more I realise that I probably shouldn't have put my hand up for this!
  4. Tino Best W.I. No prizes for guessing how/why I chose him.
  5. Good call on the 12th man. I bags Andy Bichel. Sorry I've been useless on my pick - will have to have a thinksy.
  6. Who he means I had last time, so Nasher's a mountain of months behind...
  7. Good to see it's been taken in the spirit it was given, well done lads. Except for you, HT. I was being serious about you.
  8. If you're seriously talking up Guptill I give up. There's supporting your choices but then there's just being silly. Will he compliment your strong middle order because they're good at cricket and he's not? TD - if you're batting Wade at 6 you should just stop now (note; that is more intended as a word advice to Australian selectors, but still applies).
  9. The B-grade NSW player has taken home his 4th Alan Border medal - averaging over 70 as captain.
  10. Ben Hilfenhaus (Aus)
  11. I'm thinking Stafanie Taylor for my WI pick but will have to do a bit more research!
  12. Tim Southee (NZ)
  13. Smith over Haddin makes no sense.
  14. Yeah I know, I wasn't being facetious - he'd be one of my first picked. Shakib's been one of the best all rounders for a few years now.
  15. Azhar Ali (Pak)
  16. Everyone's pretty keen on Shakib and about zero of his teammates - so Bangladesh are a no go.
  17. In truth, I was just being cheeky! I'd tossed up selecting him with my pick. Good get Passenger.
  18. Currently, Ross Taylor is sitting out of tests - not best XI material in my book
  19. Pragyan Ojha (India)
  20. You got me thinking, Jack. Twenty20 is to cricket as an "around the world" goal-kicking competition would be for Australian Rules. Imagine Queen's Birthday replaced with something so terribly soulless - devoid of history or character. A shell of its parent sport.
  21. Kevin Pietersen (SA...no...no... England)
  22. Philander(er?)
  23. Kumar Sangakarra (SL)
  24. As I'm o/s I'm not sure how reliable I'll be with selections...
  25. Aside from Kumar and Mahela, the Lankans seem to completely lack mental composure. Very disappointed with most of the dismissals. The pitch looks a good one and, after a day or so of sunshine, could be a batters dream IMO.
