We all love a good DD novel! What I don't get in American sports is how divisions can be different sizes. It seems fundamentally unfair to me.
  2. Had to laugh at KP not knowing what a "relationship" means. Of all of the players the poms could've sent out to present a strong, in control front, KP would be one of the last I'd pick.
  3. Khawaja has been brought in to cover Ponting. I found this article rather amusing.

Michael Vick, DeSean Jackson! What a win! 31-10 down in the last quarter - 65 yard punt return for a touchdown in the last play! Eagles go top with 2 to play!
  5. South Africa all over the Indians early - 3/27. My money's been on S.A. for a while, was "happy" to hear the Khan was out. Would prefer him in for the spectacle, however.
  6. Hardly surprising to see Beer not picked. I have grave concerns for this test. P.S. Already a review. Watson given out caught behind but it's off thigh pad. Not out. Very sharp take by Prior. Didn't take long. Collingwood - what a take. There go the ashes!
  7. Khawaja made 121 off 105 in a one dayer tonight.
  8. Alex Keath could be one hell of a player - he's already a great talent. In his first first-class match innings (against an International side)he's fall just shot of a half century. Collingwood now has 3/8.
  9. White out for 23. Here is D Hussey's chance. Good to see Keath get a run.
  10. Fourth time he's done it too - three have them have been crucial IIRC
  11. Not as much as you underestimate the loss of: Hayden Langer Martyn Gilchrist Warne Mcgrath
  12. More ludicrous outbursts. I'm sure no great Australian cricketers retired at a similar time as Buchanan retiring from his coaching role...
  13. Mmm... I'm sure you've got some research, some stats, to back that up... Playing against youngsters before that series, Krejza took 0/199 in 31 overs. He took 12/358 in his debut...India made 441 after inexplicable brainfades against the debutante. Jason had figures of 3-199 before 5 batsmen (literally) gifted their wickets to him. It was one of the more bizarre half hours of cricket you'd see. It was the most runs ever conceded on debut. Not quite a low score overall. When he finally got a gig in Aus (after injury) he took 1/204 against South Africa for the match. They chased a world record 414 in the fourth innings to win. Hauritz came in and did a much better job, all round, than Krejza would be capable of.
  14. How in the world do you figure that this would be a good time for Clarke to take over the captaincy? How's last summer's 11 coming along?
  15. True. If only you were selector he could have brought in...umm...yeah...
  16. Clarke out in the last over of the day! Crushing blow for the Aussies.
  17. It's even worse than that... 2 balls between them!
  18. The posts above indicate that you believe that last summer's selections were wrong (as evidenced across multiple threads/forums), I asked you to select the 11 that you wanted - you then backtrack to talk about the last 4 years.
  19. Errr...
  20. WYL - for old times sake, could you list the starting 11 you would've liked to see for the Pakistan/Windies tour last year.
  21. Haddin gone. Fantastic innings by the 'keeper. May have set up the series. Great knock - 136 and a partnership of 307. Meanwhile, South Australia are back to their usual ways. Bowled out for 55 with Faulkner taking 5-5
  22. I couldn't believe what I read in the paper on Tuesday in regards to Clarke talking about how he would play regardless. Never got to post it here, but I found it to be very self indulgent and not team-focussed at all.
  23. What a shocking shot from Clarke. The selectors deserve credit for going with Siddle, I believe some of that credit diminshes because of the selection of North.
  24. This article elaborates on what you've written. Certainly doesn't seem to be a clear plan from the selectors.
