  1. 2 game ban. Medium impact for a bump he was "guilty" of putting a guy out for 6 weeks. Right.
  2. How can he get 3-4 weeks when it was line-ball he'd get off? It wasn't even a bump!
  3. With the Jack Viney debacle taking some of the gloss off the win, I wanted to turn focus back to the positives. It's very hard to chose my favourite part from the win. Dawes' tackles, marks, goals, pumping up of Jack Watts. The two rookies' first quarter goals. Grimes' spoil(!) But my favourite thing, I reckon, did not even happen with time running. After Tyson's goal, the response he got from his teammates was electric and spine tingling. I haven't seen a response like that from Melbourne boys in what feels like a very long time, especially away from home against 40,000 opposition fans. Every player in the area showed such instant glee, it reminded me of how I fell in love with footy originally - watching players have fun, do well, and celebrate like nutters.
  4. 17:54 Nathan Schmook: Running through multiple angles of the incident. Controversial case, clearly, being made here. I'd say!
  5. Follow it here. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2014-05-06/live-viney-fronts-tribunal
  6. Not so much what was said but how it was said. Brick McLean - "The media were acting like it was Dale Thomas against Collingwood but it wasn't it was actually Carlton versus Collingwood." Oh. Thanks.

    Wow. A very unfortunate choke.
  8. Tom Lynch is 192 centimeters. Jack Viney is 178. Viney doesn't leave the ground.
  9. Can't imagine he'd get 4. If they thought it was worth 4 that's what they would have given him. I can really see each side of this debate, but feel anything more than 1 week would be very unfair.
  10. We have conceded 427 in 6 games aside from the West Coast game - only 71 points a game.
  11. s it Good Friday? Because we are being crucified.
  12. 68, 44, 76, 58, 54, 72, 73. No, these are not Michael Clarke's last 7 innings - they're the margins in SA since we last beat the Crows. Bring back Leo! On the plus side, our one game at Adelaide Oval was only 8 points and would've been a comfortable win if it weren't for the worst umpiring I've ever seen in a professional football match, which I'm sure won't happen today... For posterity, here's our record against Port (just to give you the full, disgusting picture) 14, 73, 62, 89, 78, 57, 29. It also shows, I think, how hard it really is to lose by 100 points. And yet we've done that so often!
  13. The OP wants to know if you love your current wife, though. I think.
  14. The fact you described him as a channel 10 journo proves a hell of a lot has changed.
  15. Footy Classified could be interesting... http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/is-eddie-mcguire-the-most-powerful-man-in-football-20140428-zr0x0.html
  16. Only 10 times in 6 games have we kicked consecutive goals. 7 of those came in two matches.
  17. Rhys Stanley and Sean Dempster - 1 person, 2 bodies. Discuss.
  18. "What happens from here is the next thing" - BT
  19. Does the 8* minutes break for quarter time begin when the siren sounds or when play is dead? Marking on the siren could take 45 seconds out of an address, so I'd assume the break starts when play is dead but I'm just curious. Does anyone know for sure out of interest? *It might not be 8 minutes, strangely I've never really checked how long breaks go for.
  20. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-04-24/saints-unkind-cut- And we think our docs are bad! Negligence? Recklessness? Certainly off the ball and high impact - that doc should be out for at least a while. One of the many bits I don't understand is that he is told the chances of infection from sporting surface is high, he has soil in his open wound which is then stitched up, and then told he was just unlucky!
  21. We have won 9 quarters this year in 5 games. Last year we won 20. Total.

Moyes sacked. A shame as I liked him, hopefully he's not lost to the game, but you can hardly call it a surprise. http://m.theage.com.au/sport/soccer/manchester-united-sack-manager-david-moyes-20140422-zqxvs.html Was always going to be a difficult task replacing Ferguson.
