  1. President should be a Melbourne person, and not one of those "I'll join as a way to get on the board" like the last couple. But above all, they need to a strong leader and lead by example. Someone who has the guts to call out behaviour that is not acceptable, someone who will keep the CEO accountable, someone who will protect all stakeholders including members, players, staff etc and someone who will protect the brand of the football club. Someone like Steven Smith would be perfect if he was available.
  2. Peter Jackson has just (within the past 4 months or so) finished a full external review of the (western Bulldogs) whole club from senior coach to bootstudder, from President to mail boy/girl and everything and everyone in between. No access denied and everything reported on. All the skeletons out of the closets. You are right it will take months. The reviews need to be independent rather than Pert and Roffey saying everything is good and best culture every.
  3. At the moment 5 people have voted no - Kate, Pert, Richo, Goody and who do you think the 5th one is? 😜
  4. It's all very well calling for the heads of everyone (and don't get me wrong... I agree), but who is going to step up? Who has the profile, personality and skills to take on those roles. Judging by the feedback in other discussions, Demonland members already have issues with Peter Lawrence and what has happened. So who's next ? Who's willing to put their hand up?

  6. Don't forget these days the admins are tighter with what is allowed to be posted in the forum (due to legal reasons) so that would affect the number of posts in here - imagine how many post there would be if everyone could post what they really thought!!! 😜
  7. We need Peter Jackson back to run the review
  8. One person voted no - Thanks Kate
  9. Just looking to get supporters views on whether the club should do a full and external review?
  10. Yes yes yes to Steven Smith. Ex player, ex-MCC president, super super smart and best of all.... competent.
  11. Ok so I think we all agree - Peter Jackson should replace Pert. Who are we going to get to replace Roffey? Afterall, we can't spill the board without having a solution up our sleeves 😜
  12. Pert is hiding... in Noosa
  13. We need Peter Jackson in to do an external review. He has finished a full review of the Western Bulldogs earlier this season. Furthermore I think we should get him in to replace Pert. Who knows, the AFL may step in and demand it (again)
  14. Just to be clear - I was never embarrassed to wear the Melbourne logo
  15. Peter Jackson finished a full review of the Bulldogs this year and is available
  16. Plenty of well connected Melbourne people [censored] off that he "Works from home" in Noosa too much
  17. I’ve already unfollowed his socials
  18. Sung to Someone Like You Verse 1 I heard that you're settled down, But I'm aiming higher, want to own this town. I thought that you'd be thrilled for me, But now I see, it's not how it’s meant to be. Pre-Chorus I was part of something great, we won it all in ‘21, But now I crave a bigger stage, the spotlight and the fun. More fans to cheer my name, more followers to gain, Success is calling, I can't remain. Chorus Never thought I'd leave it all behind, But I’m chasing dreams that I can't find. With crowds that roar, the lights so bright, I’m moving on to claim my right. Verse 2 The past was good, but now it’s time, To step it up, in a brand new prime. A chance to grow, expand my brand, To be the star that everyone demands. Pre-Chorus Playing in those famous stripes, or under yellow and black, Where legends are made, and there’s no turning back. I’m heading for the top, can’t stay in the past, A bigger stage, and I’ll make it last. Chorus Never thought I'd leave it all behind, But I’m chasing dreams that I can't find. With crowds that roar, the lights so bright, I’m moving on to claim my right. Bridge Sorry, my teammates, it’s not you, it’s me, I’m just reaching for what I know I can be. For every cheer and every post, I’ll be the one they talk about the most. Chorus Never thought I'd leave it all behind, But I’m chasing dreams that I can't find. With crowds that roar, the lights so bright, I’m moving on to claim my right. Outro I wish nothing but the best for you, But now it’s time for something new. In the spotlight’s glare, I’ll stand tall, And maybe one day, you’ll understand it all.
  19. it's time to do an update of this classic
  20. Jake Lever booked in for surgery this week. Can’t confirm what for however assume it’s ankle or knee cleanup.
  21. true, and if that wretched board from 1996 had their way we'd be in the middle of building new facilities at Dingley..... as the Melbourne Hawks
  22. Apologies if already posted - https://events.humanitix.com/petraccafdsringwoodrsl? Someone go ask him straight up
  23. To be fair it was the method by which Tom Morris chased the Jack Viney story that has upset people. Jack Viney was first mentioned by David King on Sen. David said I think it would be good for North to go after older well established leaders such as Jack Viney. Yes David King has links to North as a former player. Tom Morris then runs to North Melbourne and asks them are they hunting Jack Viney to which they answer yes he and players like that. Tom Morris turns it into a story. It whips up a media storm and then Clarko mentions Jack by name which usually doesn't happen. It's not clever reporting.
  24. Probably expecting the Dees to pick up 50% of Trac's salary as well!!
