  1. Not only is the club happy to put Clarry on the table but Trac is also still on the table - the player group unhappy with him
  2. Any see the Steven May IG post showing the "special" customisation on the inside of his jacket lining "Lever 0 votes" - I know it's a joke and good on them for having some fun with it BUT.... thats exactly the behaviour they stamped out in 2021.
  3. Thinking outside of the box…. Melbourne are on the AFL’s watch list. Given the rumours which swirled around during the year and the incidents that allegedly occurred but haven’t been settled yet, the AFL may be the one pulling the strings here. They certainly have an interest in ensuring the AFL brand doesn’t get damaged any further and I’m sure their close connection with the media enabled them to quietly move Rothey on and steer the club in a different direction in terms of the board. it may have been a tap on the shoulder from the AFL which led to Pert jumping on the phone. Not making excuses for him, just highlighting the fact that the AFL is involved in lots of stuff we don’t see.
  4. Where did Oliver say that? (possibly hearsay - like everything else)
  5. @Superunknown
  6. I meant the saga has been started by him again - apologies - sloppy wording by me
  7. I actually don't think that the "working from home" thing is too much of an issue BUT clearly he's been missing or not enough "hands on deck" ([censored] some people off) when he needed to be here whilst the club has been barraged over the past 12 months.
  8. Sure, I wasn't aware of this until I made some enquiries with "connected" people during Petracca-Gate. I was told that a number of high profile Melbourne "people" (influential members/coterie types) are getting sick of Pert "working from home" in Noosa. I initially was sceptical however Google is a wonderful thing and a little bit of digging confirmed that there's a "close family" business listed on the Dunn & Bradstreet register where the address is Noosa. I won't say who or what. Now before anyone pipes up, this could absolutely be a way to claim back flights to and from the family holiday house or.... the truth that he in fact lives and "works from home" in Noosa and the information I was given is correct.
  9. I just want a CEO who lives in the same state as the team we follow, bonus if he/she lives in Melbourne and I want someone who is willing to do the job not take shortcuts. PS - Membership was always going to increase as a result of the premiership so that's not a tick for him.
  10. Where there's smoke....
  11. Agree - Darren Burgess a close second
  12. Bring back ACTION JACKSON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Archive image used above - don't get too excited
  13. Meanwhile, seems to have been started again by Pert, sitting on his deckchair at his home in Noosa. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/the-inside-story-how-word-spread-that-oliver-was-on-the-market-again-20241001-p5kevi.html
  14. Conspiracy theory - Demonland administrators leak fake Oliver meeting with Geelong news, in order to get post numbers back up to the Petracca incident levels.
  15. If true then all our rotten eggs will have moved on by the time any pending incidents are finalised
  16. Another piece of trash journalism by Spam McClure
  17. Don't get me wrong - whilst I supported at the time and always will support, Joe coming in in '96, I don't want Joe anywhere near the club these days and disagree with every one of his statements he made as a result of his lunch with Green. (except maybe the Goodwin one (although I'm not jewish))
  18. “…made by Ridley” 😂😂😂😂 Made up by Ridley more like it
  19. History lesson - For those too young to remember, Joe stepped in and helped steer the club away from an Ian Ridley and Hassa Mann led attempt to merge the club with Hawthorn. A vote that was rigged in favour of merging by a high level of corporate votes from sponsors etc. And those members who voted yes must still be feeling a little guilty.
  20. This post aged really well - just saying
  21. You know who covered himself in glory - Max. Brilliant throughout this ordeal. He was as honest as he could be, he's a fantastic example of a leader. But not only about this issue, but his involvement in getting Clarry right, premiership captain, 7 time all Australian - Melbourne's greatest leader and one of the best on and off the field.
  22. Sorry, not sorry. Did a search and there were no other POLLS about this topic
  23. Off the topic a little - is KozzyCan a reference to Ozzie can… Daryl can.. Ozzie can??
  24. the review would also be good to ensure that the club activities are aligned with that strategic plan we that have been waiting on....
  25. Peter Jackson has just (within the past 4 months or so) finished a full external review of the (western Bulldogs) whole club from senior coach to bootstudder, from President to mail boy/girl and everything and everyone in between. No access denied and everything reported on. All the skeletons out of the closets. You are right it will take months. The reviews need to be independent rather than Pert and Roffey saying everything is good and best culture every.
