Haven’t seen or heard anything about Tom Sparrow for 12 months now, picked for Rd 1 last yr, was talked up (normal MFC) got injured and hasn’t been sighted since.. can’t be close to selection as we’ve made a dozen changes already and he hasn’t been one of them nor has he been named an emergency.... would like to hear how he’s going.

Brisbane’s 3rd quarter is like watching MFC.

Some great points from Jennings and well summed up.. I listened with great attention when he was on earlier
Anyone get a bit of a feel there are a few sour grapes there though from Jennings?

Tomlinson as a lead up half forward makes a lot of sense to me, surely would offer more than Hunt.

The Choofta will be in the side this week. Article praising his 3 goal game.
bennell with 35 can no longer be ignored either.
3 weeks after the whole AFL supporter base has been questioning why these two haven’t been in the team, will the club finally see what everyone else does.

Lever needs to get back to basics, start by actually having an opponent and winning some contests, simply just defend.

The point being that players can improve their kicking throughout their career.
I understand your point I just have a different opinion.
Not many players improve their field kicking during their career, look at our perennial offenders for example- Hunt, Viney, Brayshaw, Oliver even Langdon.-

You do know a lot of teams have kicking coaches, don’t you? In fact Adem Yze began his career with Hawthorn as one. He improved their accuracy in front of goal from 48% to 57% actually.
I’ve played/ coached for 30+ yrs, I’m well aware of that.
Goal kicking is totally seperate to what I’m talking about, field kicking, hand balling, marking - it’s poor at best and probably along with Adel & Freo the worst in the comp. Our key on ballers are the main culprits - Viney, Oliver.

I guess one hopes the club cooooaaaacches the players to kick better.
How often does an AFL player improve their kicking over their career??
Examples please.

Of course he demands better skills
We are also looking for consistency
Drop the players with poor skills
Keep changing the team, where is the consistency
On field leadership has gone backwards this year, interesting that Jones and Jetta are not there, form permitting of course
It's always easy to blame the coaching staff when it is ultimately the players out there playing
I agree, disposal is killing us, missed kicks / handballs, dropped marks, yeah the coach team selection and game plan at times can be queried but what hope has he got if we can’t kick.

Woah. Why single out those 3? There are only about 3 who CAN kick/not turnover.
Talking midfield champ, read the full quote.

It's an actual talent to take Oliver, Petracca and Brayshaw combined with Gawn and be useless.
On paper that is the most talented starting midfield in the league, in practice on the other hand ?
It’s actually not mate cause they don’t get the job done. That’s the problem, all the talk they are great when they are not.
Oliver / Brayshaw can’t kick.
viney turnover king.
Gawn is a star.
Trac having a good yr.all the criticism comes for Goody but if the players can’t hit a target what hope has he got.

And Daniher, and Bailey and Neeld and Roos, it is like a broken record on here
The players need to be made accountable

Geez, Viney straight to the tall defender again
BOG for Richmond he’s been, Viney that is.

Playing list most over rated in the comp, continue to butcher the ball, Viney terrible today.
May & lever biggest bust of all time.
so many players down today, again. -
Jack Viney - handball to someone under pressure, get it back and kick it straight to the opposition, it’s his go to.

Copped a touch up from Geelongs seconds ?
It’s not all about high draft picks...

Supporters are sick of the talk, we want results and this current leadership admin and coaches group steering the ship is running out of time, quickly.

Lockhart had 2 mistakes, but he was one of our best against West Coast, and was clearly struggling after starting well and copping an early knock. I personally think he deserves a good crack at nailing that spot down.
Was good in the first qtr, coughed up a couple of goals when getting caught holding the ball. Is a great young talent and best 18 though.
-
Give Vanders / Hannan another crack.
mFC will drop Rivers, certainty, it’s what they do - build them up then axe then. -

based on last season & the first 3 games this season where exactly is that improvement coming from ? It’s not going to just magically appear.
We are better than last yr, not hard really..
Need a bit of continuity with this group and we will see improvement imo.
