  1. Now, that's a balanced view Nasher!
  2. here we go again... after every win we have to find 'the weak link' to enable a key player back in. All sorts of options are thrown up as to who will get the axe. Wonna did exactly what he needs to do... Seriously, stop trusting your eye witness view if you think he was a weak link today. Go back and watch the replay... check how many times Wonna was involved in chains that lead to scores (on a number of occasions, Goals!). Who else can we drop? Benny... yeah Benny. The thing that has every other club freting about at the moment is our leg speed, but lets drop one of the quicks! INJURIES will dictate how Moloney will resume his former position. MacDonald got crunched (still managed to start the next goal chain with a quick handball whilst he was being called to the bench). Jones is playing his best football but lets drop him! Bullocks! Sylvia got smashed a couple of times and maybe Scully is sick of having his head pounded into the turf at the bottom of the pack. Chill... stop back stabbing blokes who had a red-hot go in a must win situation. Selection will take care of itself, but blokes won't be discaded from that team for poor effort!
  3. Woewodin... one of the few who stood by Schwartz when he was down and almost out!
  4. Jaded, take a powder and some deep breaths, then watch the replay. Our blokes stood up from the 15 min mark of the 1st quarter on. If we had got equal rights from the blokes in yellow we would have won! Name the player in Red & Blue that you weren't proud of. They were influenced by the spirit of 1960 and they were playing for the Pres!!!!!!!
  5. The Boss... lucky to get a draw???? There were about 40,000 Magpies at the ground who know they were lucky we didn't win, having outplayed their mob for three quarters!
  6. I love you big fella and so do my kids and when I am gone they will continue to love you.
  7. 3 Moloney 2.5 Jamar 2 Davey 1.5 Frawley 1 Morton 0.5 Garland
  8. Grimes takes too long Warnock doesn't know what to do Frawley needs to be the receiver then runs the lines Davey is best %wise but he is needed elsewhere Rivers gets too airborne Garland? Hmmmm Ok, I'm prepared to give Strauss another go Whoever it is needs to be close by when a point is scored and needs to back himself to pick a target and get it there immediately, like the Bombers do. We suck because we are too timid and afraid of stuffing it up. The longer we wait for an option the harder it is to find one.
  9. Have to agree with Diablo on Dunn... others who suggest he has shown nothing as a forward are off the pace. I clearly remember Dunn being lively as a half-forward in his early games. He hit up other players with excellent foot skills and I know he can kick the distance from 55mtrs. He is not a big mark specialist, but he has a tank and he is as worthy of 5 or 6 games in our forward line as any others we have tried recently (with the exception of Green). We play blokes who have performed well at Casey (with the exception of Chenney). If we overlook Dunn for a forward role against Maggies... the coach and his helpers have lost the plot. 8 GOALS!!!!!! If he kicks 3 in the seniors he has been a success.
  10. 6. Miller 5. McDonald 4. Davey 3. Bennell 2. Sylvia 1. Frawley
  11. We agree then! The kick ins were so slow and indirect yesterday. Must solve this issue, don't know if Strauss is the answer just yet. Davey goes back for mine!
  12. Garland 100% disposal efficiency... That is his strength... read "good decision maker". He will have better days, but not in our worst today!
  13. 6. Davey (for hitting red & blue [censored]) 5. McDonald 4. Green 3. Scully 2. Jamar 1. Dunn
  14. I'm looking forward to AK helping us hold on to the Ashes on Ricky's last trip abroad!
  15. 6. Moloney 5. Bate 4. Jamar 3. Trengove 2. Jones 1. Sylvia
  16. 6. McDonald 5. Jamar 4. Sylvia 3. Moloney 2. Green 1. Scully
  17. Bennell was good today, particularly in the last. He has rare pace and can carry the lines. Don't get confused by the calls to drop him. They had nothing to do with skill or potential. The calls to drop him were about punishment for not going when he perceived a body coming hard the other way. I was very pleased for Bennell today, but I wasn't surprised. I rate him, always have. However, we felt that a point had to made about a few glaring examples of fear factor! I was happy in the end to go with the selection panel.
  18. Yeah 'front and centre of the back of the head!!!!'
  19. While on the bench they get to have a leg rub, a power drink, a chat to a specialist coach, a zone-out and a parade in front of adoring fans... beats going to a forward pocket and having to take a speccie or kick a banana!
  20. Nostradamus has put it fairly and squarely and I'm finding I agree. I think Bennell offers heaps, but he has a fatal flaw and he needs to deal with it at the lower level... just a week or two to make the point firmly that he has to go when its his turn. It is my belief that no physical harm would have come to him in the two instances I have witnessed first hand. At least one of these incidents would have resulted in a goal for the Demons if he took the mark.
  21. Joeboy is right... friendly fire from Joel Mac
  22. 6. Jamar 5. Petterd 4. McKenzie 3. Davey 2. Moloney 1. Green apologies to Grimes
  23. Rohan and TimD are spot on... but leaving a game at half-time because you are facing an almighty drubbing is an indication of ticker IMO and equates with Miller not giving a whimper on the field!
  24. IN: Martin, Garland, Sylvia OUT: Miller, Dunn, Bate
