Jade Rawlings back from Casey?
Well Nasher, we’re struggling to find one GREAT coach that didn’t Coach angry. I know it’s a different era albeit Clarkson in this era is the angriest and arguably the greatest of all time, SO IS GOODWIN TOO BLOODY NICE?

Worst selection of 2018
Spot on Martin. Selection has been and continues to be ONE of this Football Dept's greatest knock. I wrote in an earlier Post that I believe poor Selection has cost us 3 games this year. Geelong - Maynard & Wagner Port - Tyson & T Smith Saints - Petty & Tyson.
-
Changes v Fremantle
It was actually Josh Kelly & Pick 20 for Tyson & Salem.

My 3 word player analysis V StKilda
Selection = Some pace please I'm not saying we have much in this area but FCS time to roll the dice on anyone with a bit of toe. Time for Baker, Stretch and last roll for Garlett.

Welcome to Demonland Toby Bedford
Ok Demons11, we now know that you're not very bright. But at least you're a not so bright Melbourne supporter so we'll forgive you. Let me spell it out for you to save you having to go back and slowly read my post again. I wasn't actually criticising the Recruiting, I was actually criticising the obsessive SELECTION of Goodwin & MacCartney with slow, inside, contested possession winners. Guess what, the whole footy world knows that when you continually play Melbourne just get it outside the contest and watch how well Tyson, Brayshaw, Viney, Jones, Vince, Lewis, etc etc chase after it. Why on earth they Selected Tyson the last 2 games and not brought in a Crumber, or someone with a bit of outside toe, eg, Spargo, Stretch or even Garlett is beyond belief. Let me explain it even clearer for you. What is the single Club and Opposition Player that is going to get Jack Viney up for a contest? Hopefully, you worked that one out. Yes, it is Port Power and Ollie Wines. And what do you know, JV nearly BOG but the Selectors bring in Tyson instead of backing JV in to do the job and strengthening the team with a Crumber like Spargo or Garlett in a night game where there is going to be plenty of Crumbs. On my reckoning, we lost the Geelong game at Selection through playing Maynard & Wagner. We lost the Port Power game at Selection, read above. And what do you think today about the Selection of Petty & Tyson over Frost/Keilty & Spargo/Garlett/Stretch? A mate of mine who played a couple of hundred Ammo games and gets to training & Casey games told me a couple of weeks ago that Petty will be a nice player but thought he was a skinny, under developed 18 year old that understandably should be debuting sometime in 2019. Told me that both Frost & Keilty would play before Petty. On today's evidence, Petty debuted too soon. Anyway, I hope you read Posts a little more carefully and really understand them before you fire off the keyboard barbs.

Welcome to Demonland Toby Bedford
No point in recruiting outside pace when Goodwin & MacCartney are so obsessed with slow, inside contested possession winners. Clearly, Goodwin doesn’t watch many Richmond games.

Training - Thursday 28th June, 2018
That would be great but he’s always injured.

Changes v St Kilda
Out - T Smith, J Smith & Vince In - Weideman, Frost, Stretch

Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12
FCS play Frost in the same position as Tim Smith. Taller, faster, stronger. He’d certainly provide a far better Ruck option. I’ll bet my footy knowledge that Frost will play a lot more AFL games than Tim Smith. If it were me though, Frost comes in for either J Smith or Vince.
-
Casey Demons v Coburg - VFL Round 12
Frost is a hell of a better AFL prospect than Tim Smith who is barely VFL level. Great comment regarding the ridiculously premature line put through Lynden Dunn who is now a Top 6 AFL key defender. I hope these fools don’t do the same to Frost who is just so young, big, strong & athletic that he must be persevered with over bloody Tim Smith.

Why success is improvement
BillyBlanks29, your choice of favourite players really says it all. You’d probably give them all a hug and a ribbon for just turning up. FCS FO.

Bernie keen to lure Sloane to the Dees
Gaff is younger and is physically sound. Gaff every day of the week.
-
Bernie keen to lure Sloane to the Dees
Sloane is a sliding A Grader & Gaff is an improving A Grader. Gaff is younger, healthier and would probably win the Brownlow if it were counted today. To top it off, Gaff is more of what we need I would take Gaff well & truly ahead of Sloane.

Gerard Whately is a Moron
Okay enough. This is just stupid.
-
Gerard Whately is a Moron
This has to be the most ridiculous post in many years. I just can’t imagine what sort of meaningless life one would have to lead to allow such an insignificant comment by a sports journalist that has to fill 19 hours of microphone time per week to upset them in the slightest.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
A nice player and worth a Pick 10 - 15 and 4 years at $600k. I'd be developing Joel Smith and using early picks on outside mids who can seriously run & kick.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Absolutely correct Diamond Jim. Lever was ok, in a side which dominated. Not in their best 15 players.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Ridiculous comment, you won't find one football person outside of the MFC family claiming that Melbourne won this trade. The best we'll get is that "whilst it doesn't look good now, it was deal that PERHAPS the Dees had to do at the time due to their pathetic situation. If you don't believe that we wouldn't have made finals this year with Kelly or Bontimpelli at the Dees instead of Tyson & Salem, then you have no idea. The facts are we could've taken Kelly or Bont with Pick 2 and Hunt with Pick 20. If you say Hunt was a stretch at 20, then do what other Clubs have done and turn 20 into 30 & 48 so you get your speculative pick because you know he'll be there. Your defense of Tyson will look silly when Maynard pushes him to Casey next year and Salem's lack of intensity and fierce desire has him at Casey with him.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
RPFC, aren't you forgetting we also gave away Pick 20 in this deal. Even now only the diehard Dees supporters are defending this trade. Tyson, slow & one sided. Salem lacks intensity, lacks leg speed and I'm not sure about his desire to build a midfield type engine, just a neat half back flanker. Roos with his one premiership by less than a kick, despite all the advantages enjoyed by the Swans is not always right.

Tom McDonald?
Trade Tom Mac & keep Frost.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
3dee read the post. I said he is a captain, not the captain. You must be fun to live with!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
May is a 26 yo key defender who is a Captain of his Club. Some guys here believe he is the answer to our defensive problems, yet believe that we could get him for a 2nd rounder & a de-list in Kent. GC would want our first rounder plus a Tyson or maybe our 3rd rounder for the points. I would also estimate that May would not want a penny less than $2.8 to $3 million over 4 years. Must say I'm a little concerned about the 193 cm. Purely based on priorities, it's a NO from me, I want the 200 cm forward/ruck and 2 x quick, skilful, precise kicking outside mids.

Josh Kelly
What say we offer Tyson & Salem for Kelly. Would that get it done?
