Totally agree bush demon on top of all the other thoughts on why we won it, out gritty season captured the imagination of the football world topped of by our come from behind final game and Max’s goal after the siren. It seemed like the greater majority of supporters fell in behind the Demon bandwagon. Watching the Prelim final and Granny in Perth you could easily believe we were playing in front of a massive home crowd and as previously mentioned the conditions were perfect for our brand of footy.!!!

I got distracted with the posts, I loved the Review by Gerard and Sam both are very Bullish if we can keep the boys out on the park. But as they mentioned when you kick 12 in a row in a Granny it’s hard to be critical.!!

Some really top posts here and not disagreeing with any really, however OD where our forwards let themselves down badly was goal kicking as Luke Hodge pointed out we were the most inaccurate team leading up to the finals. If we can sort that out and maintain our current structure we have the capacity to really burn teams.!!

Interesting that Brian Cook played 4 games for us in 1977, couldn’t have been much of a player.lol!!

Mathew Febey and Colin Garland were good players but underrated Mathew played in more successful teams and was a bit player whereas Garland as pointed out played in weaker teams and was one of our leading lights. I really liked them both but for me Colin edged Mathew out.!!

Just watched the JVR interview with Benny Gibson he said that he had received a phone call from Tracc and lots of messages from Max and other team mates. Sounds like a well grounded young man who is feeling a bit of excitement and trepidation at joining the Premiers. Doesn’t give to much away. 😀

Certainly didn’t come from his former coaches or college where he was likened to Levi Greenwood only better. Who ever it was they are poor judges of character.!!

To be honest I liked him from the start but the more I watch our last four games the more I appreciate his talent and abilities, he is selfless and team first but has the strength, fitness and footy nous to be able to exploit any opportunities. At this stage the difference between Tom and JJ is that Tom gets in the zone. If you take a close look at TS his face is set his eyes are glazed he is living the moment nothing can stop him, he has, like a lot of our players found belief in their ability to change the game in our favour. When JJ finds that ability to get into the zone he to will be a young champ on the rise. They have both exceeded our expectations in the best possible way.💕❤️💙

No way RGB our 2019 days are way behind us, our group now have so much pride and confidence in themselves and the club we are now very similar to 1955 MFC. Having just finished the Red Fox (750 pages) it is almost like this group of coaches and players are following in Norms footsteps. The selfless team oriented football was his trade mark.!!
