Brodie Grundy is too good an AFL footballer to languish in the VFL for more than a week or two and I back our FD to utilise his skills in a way that maximises the benefits for our Club. Barrett & Co the talking heads focus on negative divisive issues, they love failures it sells papers and headlines. Brodie Grundy will help prolong Max’s longevity and get enough game time to keep him interested until he takes over from the great man. In the mean time we can focus on recruiting that Key forward, silky tough midfielder and tall tough defender to keep us up with the pack.!!!

Looks like we are going to receive a fair price for LJ after all, 5 & 23 plus Matthew Jefferson is much better than any of us had hoped for, even 7 & 25 is still reasonable. Gives JT & TL plenty to work with and we all know what we lack.!!!

Well we nearly bought the house down in Trinity Park on Friday night such an exciting game, one critical play after the other, 24 down just over 7 mins on the clock, bang, bang, bang , bang and each goal remarkable in it own right we were yelling and jumping feeling edgy and excited, the crowd noise at the G was coming through loud and clear. Jake Melksham’s desperate acrobatic mark and time delaying kick seemed to take forever and then that joyous exhilarating feeling when it went through is hard to describe. Rick saved the day then lots of talking watching interviews and then the Boys singing the song. Then pack our backs clean up ready for our 10:10 am flight back to good old Melbourne.!!!! That great come from behind win topped off a fabulous week in Cairns, love Nth QLD.💕

Critical game for us Friday night will take a mighty effort with Clarry and Fritta sidelined would love to see JVR on the park. I am loving it up here in Nth Qld went and visited a number of very large Saltwater Crocs today at Hartleys Croc Farm and just came to bed to read DL temp here at Trinity Park is still 21oC, so sweet.!!

67,049 is a very nice number, it is our best number to date and I am going to mentally celebrate that number as a part of the rise to relevance, as I have mentally celebrated every other achievements that our mighty club has garnered through our rise back to where we belong.!!!

Currently enjoying a bit of Nth QLD weather in Cairns for a week, fly back to dreary Melb on Saturday. 19 - 26 each day is hard to put up with, did Port Douglas Mon Palm Cove for brunch shortly. The weather is a bit cloudy but very good for the spirits. Watched the Mini and half the game last night on Kayo much to the annoyance of the two grandkids and looking forward to watching the game Friday night. go Dees.!!!

Understand Bystander I was trying to be subtle re: Umpires vision like Mr Magoo. Unfortunately my footy skills or lack thereof would have sentenced me to the magoo’s. Lol.!!!

Totally agree Cyclops I have noticed a number of blatant free’s not paid for head high tackles and holding him on the ground after tackles. Kozzie doesn’t get a fair deal from the magoo’s.!!!

Agree Thbt JVR certainly earnt a return to the seniors but these injuries are really going to test our depth as we need a bit of height against the Saints and Lions let’s see just how inventive the Footy department can be.!!

Thanks DD the weather conditions were atrocious but our forward 50’s were even worse than that we are plumbing the depths with our conversion down to a record low of 25%. I hate to say it but we are currently a Mess.
