2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
DeeZone replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Realistically I am interested in the picks 20 - 50 as I can’t see us featuring in round 1 or early round 2 unless we start trading players out and I just can’t see that happening with this team.?? -
I expected the change to be Dunstan for Harmes and Bedford for Chandler but I am not conflicted about Melksham coming in. I am a great believer in rewarding player loyalty and 200 games is such a big deal for AFL players and we are playing the bottom team, so little risk to the final result.!!
-
Congratulations BBB I can’t believe how excited my family were when we heard that You were coming to the Dees. We hated and respected you at the Roos but what a revelation you have been at the Dee’s finally made our forward line click. 150 games I hope that you make it to 230. Well done Ben.!!!

The coach indicated in his press conference today that Gus would be staying down back and Salo may need to be eased back into the team after missing 10 games. Jeeezzzzzz I’m glad that I am not on the selection panel Salo, Gus, Hunt, Bowey and Riv can’t fit into our backline.!!!
-
A bit harsh Deedubs, however I cannot quite remember Tommy kicking 6 in the Magoos as an 18/19 yo. We have to judge and enjoy them on their merits.!!
-
Dazzle or someone close to the club could you catch young Rooyen by surprise and run a tape over him to check his actual height.?? And don’t forget to ask him is he still growing this will help reduce our stress levels.😳👍👌🤘🙏
-
We are indeed becoming hard task masters, 74 points at Optus Bah humbug.😳!!
-
Agree on Hunt LH he is a true utility forward back wing and now has reinvented himself as a lockdown back, deserves at least two more years.!!
-
Maybe we recruit a tall second ruckman and use Dogga and van Rooyen as twin forwards??
-
NSW Albury.
-
Thanks Spargs a key component of our great team, well done young man an important signing by the Dees.!!
-
The coaches have stated that they do not put limitations on any of the new recruits and will play them when they show they are ready as they have with Dogga, Rivers, Kozzie and Bowey. So a call up may come sooner rather than later.!!!
-
Like everyone on here I have high hopes for Jacob van Rooyen and hope that he continues to grow a couple more centimetres, however he already has size ala Darling and has pace and skill and is now starting to show his footy IQ. We will watch this young man with great interest.!!!

The stats are backing up Jack and Gus’s rise up the ranks in 2022.!
-
Jack Viney had a ripper final series and with his first full preseason in years has carried this form into 2022. His confidence has grown in line with his improved fitness and recognition from teammates and supporters. Jack is once again that chip off the old block that we all knew he would be.!!!

Another great win Dees good 1st and last and ground them down over the four quarters. Very even this week , great team effort a lot went right and a lot just missed the mark. Forward fifty entries were below par maybe a bit rushed and some were sublime. 74 point win over the Weagles at Optus, just another game.???

6 - JV 5 - Tracc 4 - Gus 3 - Kozzie 2 - Jordon 1 - TMac
-
Let’s get it done Dees don’t know why I still feel anxious before each game only lose the tension when I am sure that we have turned up again. Go Dees.!!!!
-
Thanks KC and all posters, that was a great win by Casey and another great percentage booster. I am getting seriously bullish about our depth players and newbies. How long since we kicked 177 points KC?
-
All above aside you can now pay monthly quarterly, etc to spread your costs.Majak needs some financial management guidance and hopefully the club have gotten around him to organise that type of support he has had a terrible run and needs the clubs support.
-
If we kick straight it will be over by half time, hopefully we don’t kick 22 points again..!!!
-
Just another 1964 and I will be closest to the pin. Lol.!!!
-
How good would it be to have Mark Chocko Williams mentoring you for the first three years at the club. His first two graduates (Sparrow and Jordon) have come through with flying colours. I am looking forward to seeing how each each group fare going forward and yes I realise that Jordon and Sparrow only had one year in the DNA.✅✅❤️💙

Ha ha his old man was local champion and his uncle went alright for the Tiges.!!
