GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Preuss needs to played out of the goal square, not all over the ground. Leave that to max agree he needs to mark it better too.

Oscar gets done for holding, 3 seconds later Dustin gets away with it ??♂️

Just like that ??

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Watch the tigers start kicking it forward off the ground at every opportunity and watch us try and finesse it round the ground

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Yep, rolled his ankle, had it re-strapped and back out there

????????? The original “maggot infestation” comment by america de Cali had me in stitches, and then this post just pushed me over the edge. Best 1-2 comment punch in recent memory!

I think the answer to that question is like the answer to most questions of this sort, “only when it benefits the team not in red and blue”

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Well done to our boys there in the first half. Taking the game on and playing to win. Learn to dispose of the ball correctly and even up the umpiring and we are a very good team again.

12 frees to 4 ?

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Preuss needs to loose 10-15kg of bulk over summer like Max did a few years back, it would improve his mobility a 1000%

2 nice set shots on goal there for our boys, great stuff.

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Yep I see where I went wrong there. You can actually hear the excitement in the umps voice every time they pay one to Richmond, and then you can hear the reluctance when they are forced to pay one our way. Hey

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Why doesn’t frost just keep running and bouncing? Doubt anyone can catch him. PS video shows jake rolled right ankle slightly
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Yeah but he’s quite short so ump probs gave tigers benefit of the doubt
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Level back on bench, looks like he will play again today

GAMEDAY: Rd 20 vs Richmond
Won that quarter I thought. Umpires providing a 2 goals per quarter advantage to the tigers. Turnovers will mean we loose the game.

At Auskick with my oldest kid, skills here much better than Melbournes atm

Petracca gradually 'breaking out'
So what you’re saying is increase his load exponentially so the risk of soft tissue injury goes through the roof? PS agree we want all our players fitter but sport science has come a long way over the past 20 years or so (not that it seems we are following sound principles with the injuries we have had).

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN

MFC supplement scare
Don’t bet on it Ethan, having sat in about 15 lectures from ASADA, cross contamination is one of the leading factor in positive drug tests in athletes. Every athlete (and coach) from about 14 years of age that has any involvement with Australian and state based teams must complete a host of education measures including completing an online module provided by ASADA. I myself have to complete this module yearly to remain qualified to coach on teams. In those modules it discusses the very topic consistently. Heres an interesting article on the Shayna Jack issue: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/athletics/athletes-should-not-trust-supplement-labels-says-ex-wada-boss-20190731-p52clv.html And a link to the topic on the ASADA website: https://www.asada.gov.au/substances/supplements-sport interestingly Swimming Australia is sponsored by a supplement company, so they must be considering their position right about now.

David King puts the Boot ? in
I think you might be right here Pennant. It’s quite common for less experienced coaches to overcoach when under pressure rather than to maintain the norm. interestingly when a coach gets the sack, it’s very common that the players report the new coach (fill in coach) encourages them to play with freedom and use their natural instincts. These are the very 2 things that suffer if your overcoaching.

POSTMATCH: Rd 19 vs St. Kilda
He definitely will be and GC will love getting him with their compo pick, pick 3 and Melbourne choose..... an inside mid who can’t kick!

Future of the NT
Agree with you but won’t happen. Remember women’s footy? Dogs and us invested in it for years before the AFL got on board and in the process we got bent over big time.

GAMEDAY: Rd 18 vs West Coast Eagles
They’ve kicked 2 since he went off, perhaps he was holding them back ?
