  1. Good on you @Katrina Dee Fan (and you, @kev martin) Insightful and thorough - as well as dedicated! These reports are much appreciated - and a welcome distraction from the current dominant fare here on 'Land 😉
  2. Thanks, OD. The likes of us will need to get a shuffle on, posting wise, if we're to see another 'notable' here before we shuffle off...
  3. Just stopped by (again!😁) to note what a special page number we're on.
  4. Purple Supporter Syndrome. (Insert vowel)
  5. Turns out there was a 4th possibility! Somebody had their finger in the dyke.
  6. I saw your 🤔 response then the above, Meggs. Apologies for my verbosity, I guess? I wasn't disputing they have a soft draw, either absolutely or relative to us. Rather, I was just pointing out it probably wasn't set up that way - well, at least as far as last year's top 8 goes, though less so regarding the other 10.
  7. I presume the draw was based on last year's ladder positions, so, from the 8 after finals, Brisbane scored 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 while we scored 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8. Not so unequal? More unbalanced in the 'non-8s', though: we scored 9, 10, 11, 13, 14 and 16, while they got 17 and 18, to go with 9, 11 and 12. So, the issues arise more from not playing everyone once, venue when not playing everyone twice, and improvements or falls, affected by list/trade rules. All things the AFL could influence. Regarding improvements/falls, we got Hawthorn (14>2) and Fremantle (13>6), while Brisbane got Geelong (4>12), Sydney (6>15) and Gold Coast (7>17)
  8. Yep. He and Alixzander would make a good kwinnellah then.
  9. Alternatively, while I'm at it, his surname lends itself to 'Bull'. Or Ford...
  10. 'Alixzander'? Really? I guess 'Alfie'(bet) beckons for a nickname...
  11. Have you noticed, Mr Stone, that your usual players have gone silent on this forum? One, I know, is gone altogether. Methinks its *cough* 'discussion' of the Club's *cough* 'issues' is at work there?
  12. Had to dodge the excavators and hi-vis vests n hardhats, Red?
  13. Why, thank you, Good Sir! Harvey Langford. I have my reasons...
  14. Interesting, Mr Stone! Just this morning, I formed(!) a clue for my next crossword: Finesses facing for force-flux functions (9) (Not the greatest of clues; I may yet finalise(!!) to something like Adjusts attention, by force, rearranging functions. Hint: an anagram and a synonym)
  15. Don't let him devalue our 👏 'like' emoji! A big purple 👊 to you, Barrett!
  16. Also notice Zanker's pressure work in Banno's first 2 goals. She's not always 'on' in this regard, so it was good to see. Memo to the Army: you've got 'Banno, Banno, Banno, Oi, Oi, Oi!' nailed; time to work on something for some others? Keep up the great work!
  17. Wow. Hard to see why they bother. It offers an elevated training/playing environment but it hardly offers 'pathway', with the odd exception.

  19. It's Essendon's place in the 8 that is probably the only realistic hope, and that would probably come down to Carlton v Essendon in the last round. Delicious.
  20. Nearly three weeks without content? Scandalous! Well, I'm here to rectify that, by observing that (as readers may have noticed) I've gone rather 'bananas', posting-wise, after today's pleasant and character-filled win by the girls. Where better than here to post that?
  21. Particularly good on a number of fronts, Biff, so I reckon worth slightly more than just a 'Thanks' emoji in this case 👍 🙂
  22. Well, that's what happens when you LEAN into French PASTRIES! (Think about it...)
