Bull plays before Pedo. If they make 1 change, Viney for Weed. If they make 2 changes Viney, Bull for Tyson and Weed. If they make 3 (unlikely) changes Viney, Bull and Garlett for Tyson, Spargs and Weed. I think just 1 change.

I just listened to Goodys press conference and reading between the lines, I don’t think Garlett will be back yet.

I think he’ll be fine. I’m sure he is working on things in the 2’s and will be back in the side by years end. Just because a player gets dropped doesn’t mean he will leave or be traded. The kid just needs to build his confidence back up.

I have a sneaking suspicion the AFL will appeal this decision.

Completely different, these players pushed the umpire. It wasn’t friendly.

Malice is not an issue. You can’t intentionally touch an umpire, regardless of the force. As stated this feeds down to lower levels and even a slight intentional touch should be punished. Greg Williams got 9 weeks for pushing an umpire. In the lower levels, kids are umpired by kids and therefore a strong message needs to be upheld.

Why shouldn’t he go??? He pulled the umpire back. Regardless how soft, you can’t touch an umpire on purpose

If they didn’t think it was intentional, they would have fined him already. I assume they also would have got the umpires opinion before laying the charge.

Even this was the case, you can’t touch the umpire. 1 week.

100% agree. The dribble that comes out on here sometimes is ridiculous.

I half agree with this. Spargo will be stiff to lose his spot but Garlett is so dangerous and with so many opportunities I agree he will give us more. Spargo is in his first year and over the next couple of years he will hopefully develop into this very dangerous forward pocket player. I don’t agree on the Weed front, he has been in the system a few years now and I think key talls need to be given time to develop in the seniors. With an eye on the now and the long term I think this will pay huge benefits. O Mac is a perfect example of this.

From the Casey reports I read, Garlett was good today. I think he replaces Spargo.
