  1. Dustall also post game said he was worried the game was going to blow out, hardly objective.
  2. Crows have a few good players but we have more.
  3. I'm just wondering how many litres of bleach has gone through Dermie's hair over the last 40 years.
  4. They must have sh*thouse hairdressers in Adelaide.
  5. One of those tall guys from Casey last year played well tonight, the other one didn't.
  6. Looks like all the toxins are coming out of Oliver's pores.
  7. Get Fritsch's radar calibrated and we are good to go.
  8. I was thinking of moving back to Victoria after I heard Dan Andrews was gone but I think I might leave it a bit longer until the filth celebrations die down a bit.
  9. Get some angry Demonlanders at training behind the goals deliberately causing distractions to simulate game day conditions with a psychologist on hand conditioning the players against the psyche out.
  10. Maybe it was Maynard's body spinning like a frisbee in a counter clockwise direction towards Gus's head.
  11. Probably the worst defence from a club too. Today I've been visualising Maynard without arms and legs and his torso looks nothing like a frisbee.
  12. Get a psychologist on the tribunal that knows how the human mind works.
  13. I know our cheer squad comes up with ingenious ways of putting off opposition players kicking at goal. Maybe they can all bring frisbees and wave them around next time we play Collingwood.
  14. I went up to Southport to see Casey play instead.
  15. Byron wear magpie jumpers so I made the decision not to support them when I found that out earlier this year.
  16. I'm glad I moved to Byron Bay where no one gives a [censored] about AFL and I can forget about football for a while.
  17. It comes down to training the unconscious mind to react. It takes 0.2 seconds for the signal to travel from the eye to the brain so a conditioned unconscious mind is what makes the reaction. If it was up to the conscious mind in the cricket example the ball would pass by before the conscious mind would even begin to move the body. Batting training is training the unconscious mind. Someone who picks up a bat for the first time is guaranteed to miss because their (slower) conscious mind is what's in charge in that moment. In Maynard's split second decision, his unconscious mind reacted by turning his right shoulder into Gus's head which comes down to prior unconscious programming in his past as a thug. The way he plays the game is testament to this.
  18. Maynard should have been like George and taken a bottle of Pepsi over instead of wine.
  19. Go watch the incident from the behind the goal camera angle at 0.25 speed and your theory will be validated.
  20. Just to clarify, my comment was designed to state that it was in his character to hit Gus in the head with his shoulder instead of a less course reaction. I'm not defending Maynard other than he had thuggery instilled into him somewhere in his formative years.
  21. In a split second decision like this the conscious mind doesn't have time to respond so the unconscious mind reacts by however it has been programmed or conditioned, in Maynard's case it was a shoulder to the head. Case closed.
  22. I can't watch the game and only have this thread to keep me informed so I'm psyching myself up for some intense meltdown moments. Go Dees!
