We have given Watts and Howe ample opportunity to show what they are capable of and as we have seen they are not match winners or the players we expected them to be...some Essendon supporters might say they same about Melksham....I would be happy with a straight swap with eithor Watts, Garland or Howe for Melksham...although Howe possibly has higher value to certain clubs.

Watts and Howe are the players which we have given games to and are still coasting and enjoying the ride....we have put 100 games into each of the roughly...so they should be winning us games...but they rant and I don't think they every will, therefore I rate Melksham higher, deal with it.

It's hard to believe first year players like Stretch and Harmes are getting games ahead of Toumpas ...

Some would say it is because of our 15th to 22nd players selected which is why we are a bottom 6 team, if we can improve these players any possible way then we will improve dramatically, other say we lack A grade talent at the top end, others say we lack depth....I know where I stand..

Hasn't it always been like this...??

I rate Melksham higher than Watts, Garland and Howe ( who I think all will go ) but that's my opinion, which everyone is entitled to. Melksham would be between the 15th and 22nd player I choose to be in the team and he gets a spot on the bench easily...

Jetta Dunn LumumbaFrost McDonald Salem Vince Tyson Melksham/Vandenberg Kent Pedersen Brayshaw Petracca Hogan Garlett Gawn Jones Viney Ex Bench: Trengove, Dawes, Grimes, Stretch, ANB IMO...Melksham makes our team easily, I think he can have more of an impact on games compared to the players I have put on the bench.

And all of this including breaking his leg during the year.Another positive this year was his ability to tag out some of the best midfielders in the game including Ablett, Selwood and Steven....and go on to gather lots of the footy himself. Hopefully he gets a free run at it next year.

He is a huge upgrade on these guys, make no mistake about that...

Keep going mate, they will figure it out eventually....

I used to actually like your posts and agreed with most of them, but for you not see how Melksham would be in our best 22, that's a bit of a worry.....they have in a way served their time already, any punishment they will be given will consider how the past 2 years or so has affected them all...So what's you're opinion of Goodwin now??

Ok Machsy....I just wanted to mention that some Essendon supporters actually do rate Melksham, as you can see in the posts above some are calling him their whipping boy etc I just wanted to share the opinion of Essendon supporters that I have spoken to about him...I don't really see how or why you would have a problem with that...? But hey nothing has changed apart from your name right?

Well done simpleton, is there something wrong with putting that out there?? Earlier posts say that he is Essendons whipping boy etc etc well I suppose that it depends on who you talk to..Same like Jack Watts, some dislike him and some don't .....but who is right at the end of the day?

So that means you would prefer M. Jones getting games ahead of Melksham, you actually want us to win games of football don't you...? If he doesn't cost us much, then he is worth having on the list right? Even if he is just a depth player (which he wouldn't be btw)...

Steve, you are one person on here who I constantly agree with......Having spent last night with a very passionate female Essendon supporter, we talked about Melksham and both like the way he goes about his football....some people on here say that Essendon supporters dislike him etc etc but that just isn't true.He would easily be in our best 22... and as you say he would be a much better option than M Jones, Mckenzie etc We need midfielders so why are people more interested in half forwards like Tom Lynch and not Melksham....
