His contract will get sorted. It's not worth being up in arms about nothing. The club will pay him what he's worth and he'll accept. He'll also become a very good player. Clearly a 20 odd game key tall forward isn't playing his best footy at 21. And he wasn't at Casey when he was a teenager. I'm glad he's now getting continuum in the seniors. It will only help him develop.

Are you new to football ? If so, I understand why you'd point that out. You must also think Gold Coast are the bomb. ?

St Kilda are hopeless. If they win so be it. It just shows where we're at in this particular season. Only a flag interests me. I couldn't give a continental about making up the numbers. If our preseason surgeries and interruptions (that we supposedly never had) mean we're cooked in 2019 it is what it is. St Kilda are still [censored] win or lose.

He was tough and clean. He didn't fumble like he has been. And he made really good decisions. One of his best games. Btw, how he didn't get a free kick for front on contact against Allir I'll never know.

This is the only thread I've read since the game finished. It's more that you have to say the same thing ad nauseum. It's tedious.
-
You're a funny bloke. You carry on about Hore, repeatedly denigrating him as though you think people need to be told something 20 times, because once won't do, and you now lord the Wagners, who are average depth players at best.

It appears Rugby Australia is planning on ripping up Folau's contract over his bigoted remarks concerning homosexuality, among other things Most Australians won't agree with his views, including me, but he should be able to express his religious beliefs in a free democratic society. Unfortunately, Australia doesn't really have ''free speech''. It's very restricted. The USA, through its constitution, has much more free speech than this country. If he is sacked it's a disgrace.

It's quite extraordinary to me that the word ''he's'' has become ''his''. I see it everywhere.

Give him a role that he can focus on. Free up his mind. Have him lock down on a key opposition player. Stop them. Harmes is quicker and more dynamic, so is better suited to the outside running role, while still winning contested footy. Try it.

Box Hill Hawks v Casey Demons - VFL Round 1
Gator replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Like you I didn't watch the game, so came onto the thread for information. It was the biggest mistake I made on the weekend. -
Box Hill Hawks v Casey Demons - VFL Round 1
Gator replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
A wonderful thread by quality posters. Every third post was about Keilty and how poor he was playing. Even though he's been incredible for weeks. I think I hate the guy and he's probably a good bloke. Seeing a bloke's name 35 times will do that. Every fourth post I learnt that Hore is horrible. Apparently Petty wasn't playing well before being injured and was Oscar reincarnate. I believe Bedford was ''unsighted''. Notwithstanding his 14 disposals and 9 tackles. I learnt a bit about the game plan being the same as the seniors. Tim Smith can kick as well as Chaplin can coach. Stretch played well. Chandler was good, but he's supposedly not quick enough. And a rebuild is on the cards. I'm sure I've missed a few things. Why people need to post the same observations over and over and over is extraordinary. -
It's certainly the wrong word. It's not possible for sporting teams to overachieve.

Notwithstanding that some of you wait with baited breath for preseason reports from those (can't be named) that argue players did not have an interrupted preseason (incredible), Goodwin said this morning on SEN that ''every one of our midfielders spent most of the preseason in rehab''. It's not the only problem, but we're coming from a long way back across the entire ground.

I really wish Melbourne players would just shut up.

I wish you all a happy safe space.

This post is ''ignore'' worthy. Well done.

Did you miss me say, "'And others not in bold are also not in good form'' ?
-
Right now, for whatever reason, the bolded aren't the equal of their equivalent players in other top 6 teams. It's pretty hard to win games of footy with 9 ordinary players. And others not in bold are also not in good form.

A little bit of mirth, friend...

I need to read a training thread so I can invest in some garbage.

I hasten to add that I'm not ''panicking'' and think we'll come good. However, my present feelings are like putting on an old comfy pair of slippers.

Part of me hopes we lose on Friday night. If we do I'll return to that familiar place of despair to wit I've become so accustomed. The MFC institutionalized me long ago and last year became almost uncomfortable as expectations rose. A loss on Friday night returns me to a comfort zone I've come to rely on. Like an old friend, I find a warmness in the familiarity of abject misery. Either way, I'm a winner this Friday.

I was about to post the same. Geelong (and most of the competition) are rubbish. The last few years the competition has been the poorest in living (my) memory. Geelong may well win tonight, but it won't change the fact they're just another ordinary team.

I'll keep it simple. If our structures are smart and performed well, and our best 8 players play well we'll win. The match will be decided by the performances of Gawn, Oliver, Brayshaw, Viney, Tom McDonald, May, Jetta, and Harmes ability to negate Kelly or Dangerfield. I think our best is better, so hopefully the best version of ourselves turns up.
