  1. Was almost about the echo these thoughts. Then I watched Simon's Selection video and the graphic comes up with the details for last weeks game during the video. Was watching the video and thought Goodwin could have given at least something on the reasoning behind the change (and yes I realise its obvious but would still like to hear it from the coach). Other than this, great work and enjoying all the content.
  2. Hawthorn looked to expose him and had Henderson pushing forward on him on multiple occasions. There was an instance in the first quarter where he was easily turned around inside 50, it was just poor defensive play. This may have been the time Gunston missed the simple pass. Dom is a decent player, but as a wingman he is a poor player.
  3. Those 2 goals he missed you expect him to kick. I don't know who he was trying to evade on the first attempt. It wasn't just his disposal in this game, his decision making seemed off also. Parfitt has stitched him up a couple of times before so it was nice for Salem to blanket him tonight.
  4. Shocking, people are actually able to discuss football matters on a football forum.
  5. Interesting that 4 of the top 6 speeds were in games involving Melbourne, and 2 of the top 3 came from likely opponents in the same game.
  6. It was 6 players that have won a B&F at two VFL/AFL clubs apparently and played 100 games at each club. He has been great for us and I agree that the time is right to finish up. Played some absolutely amazing games but unfortunately you could see that despite giving it his all, his body isn't what it used to be.
  7. I think that's just his style, a lot of his VFL goals look similar to that one. I'm just about ready to concede that I may have got this one wrong. I rate Phil Davis really highly and he easily held his own in that matchup.
  8. I could be wrong, but I recall from years ago, that he had some kind of connection to one of the doctors at Essendon.
  9. As someone mentioned, It was reported by Mark Robinson on AFL 360 last night. However, as another poster also mentioned, it is their belief that Mark Robinson mentioned Angus when meaning to refer to Andrew. That was also my take watching the AFL 360 last night.
  10. What skill would that be? He is very vanilla.
  11. Basically the same player as Tyson. Just has worse skills but a better tackler.
  12. Keep digging, the same Shuey that missed 5 games? That really impacted Gaff didn't it? At least chose Naitinui if you want to show you have any knowledge of football.
  13. Again, I have no idea what DeGoey has to do with a thread about outside mids. He is not one. I'm not disputing he is a good player, I have preferred him to Brayshaw since their first seasons and rate him highly. You clearly haven't seen Gaff play in finals or this season in particular if these are your thoughts.
  14. Completely different players. De Goey is an inside mid, is not a free agent and we don't have anything to trade for him so it's not happening. We should have been in the market for Devon Smith last year.
  15. Just gets the ball the 4th most in the comp, has elite fitness and above average kicking. He also actually kicks the ball which most of our midfielders are unable to do. He is a lot quicker than you are giving him credit for. Disagree on Tim Kelly, solid player but I think he does his best work inside and I wouldn't call him an outside player. Brayshaw has always been a poor kick, a handful of the posters on this site have been able to see this since his first few games. You can dodge around this issue with this foot, that foot. Essentially he is poor kick and it's always going to hold him back at AFL.
  16. I think most would blame the coaches for picking him and we have every right to question that. You could see from his first involvement he was way off the pace. Was just jogging back into the defensive 50 with no idea where to go, then moments later a panic kick. If he was able to give us the equivalent of StKildas 1st gamer we would have won. As simple as that. Smith and Petty can not play together again this season.
  17. This post is just odd. Gaff is vanilla? Tim Kelly is blistering on the outside? Next you will be telling us that Brayshaw is an elite kick.
  18. According to who? I don't believe it.
  19. Dreaming that you could essentially trade Brayshaw for De Goey.
  20. 23 possessions a game and 6th in the league for goal assists last year from a hff. Must have been one heck of a game. Toumpas is a draft bust, Billings isn't even close to a bust. Will be a 200 game player. Garlett can't get a game because he has been putrid this season. If he was playing good football he would easily be out best small forward. Some of the names you have listed are not even worthy of a comparison. But you are making your point on the basis of thinking Billings is a hack, so I can see your argument in that regard. I can guarantee you there would be, but we will have to agree to disagree. If the Saints get rid of him you will be able to come back and see you were off the mark. Ultimately, I agree with you that we don't want him for what he would cost. However, if he was available for a second rounder I can assure you it would be done in a heartbeat.
  21. Selling him short would be calling him a draft bust, clearly you didn't watch him last season if you believe this is the case. Have you seen Chad Wingard play this year? Is he a spud also? There is no way you are getting Billings for a second rounder, I can assure you of that. He is an elite talent. I can agree that we probably wouldn't be after him given his price though. His value would be similar to Brayshaws and easily more than Tyson on the open market. Swimming in them? Who?
  22. Billings has had a poor season, but you are really selling him short. He is a very good player and every club in the afl will be interested if he is on the market.
  23. Random post from you mono, both are adequate in the context.
  24. Yes. Our pick 20 became 22 or 23 after bidding so Leslie is not available. We probably would have taken Lewis Taylor if we kept that pick.
  25. I've seen this inaccurately put on this site too many times. Give us Merrett or Crouch in that example and then we're laughing. We traded Pick 20 also.
