  1. I just hope he is on Kobe's ear telling him to pick the Dee's when the time comes for father son nomination. We need a second coming of the wiz (and not a second purple Jesus). Glad Jeff's heart still beats true for the red and the blue.
  2. Didn't really take much from it. Sounds like they are ready to pack the season in and go hunting for Bambi. And they rip us going to the snow...
  3. Provided everyone pulls up ok go with what's clearly working. In: Blind Optimism Out: Hawthorn
  4. I think our list balance is good. If we aren't careful we won't have the right balance of kids coming through in a few years time. I think looking for some quality in the draft and bringing them through longg term prospects will serve the club better rather than tipping up with 1-2 year senior players.
  5. Shame we can't bid on him to force their hand. Hopefully someone else bids on him to force them to cough up market value for him.
  6. People would be screaming his name from the rooftops if he played for a big Vic club. Truth is most of our list is underrated because we don't get prime time games for casual observers to watch. A few Friday night games and people like Omac will start getting the respect they deserve.
  7. There is injury prone, and then there is Freeman. His body just isn't made for AFL football.
  8. A true demon. Bucked the trend when other clubs senior players wouldn't come and play for us. Bernie got his marching orders from radelaide and became a very important player for us. He will he missed! Now send him out to stud and sign his kids up in 18 years.
  9. Can send you one, but you will need to name your next born after me....
  10. I watched a few doggies games this year due to them getting some good free to air slots and Dahlhouse didn't look anything like he has been in years gone by. Still a good player in his say but he could be on the decline.

His tackling was a feature today, a vast improvement from when he last played at the tolp level. His aerial work is good, just need the hands to hold the marks. I'm keen to see how he goes against the Giants.

Maybe, just maybe Weeds put it together enough this week for him to retain his spot going into next season. He has also been working on his ruck craft which gives an extra dimension to his game that he didn't really have last season. My expectations are low, but I wouldn't be surprised if played well enough to retain his spot moving forward.
  13. Could just have a commemorative jersey celebrating what a disappointment of a club we have been in recent years. I'm thinking a red and blue white strip with a white flag in the middle of the jumper.... Seriously our finals hopes are on the line and we roll out some nonsense jumper.
  14. If he keeps this B.S up he will just become a miniature version of Caroline Wilson.
  15. Geelong game is worth 8 points to us in the run home. It's gives us 4 and takes 4 away from Geelong who should be going in as slight favourites gown at Geelong. Beating them is so important to our finals chances.
  16. Good luck to him. If anyone deserves some luck from the football gods it's him.
  17. No wrist slashing here, it's called a dose of reality. My comments are fair. We haven't beaten anyone, and until we do we are not contenders. Port aren't contenders either, but I'm not talking about them Lord.
  18. Lewis is pretty safe with the ball. I'm under no illusions that he could out run a tortoise, but he is not the problem. His job is to lead and steer the troops off the ball which he is doing a good job of. Our defensive spread is pretty good, and Lewis has been huge helping that happen. Last night wasn't his best game, but he wasn't near our bottom 6 or 8 last night.
  19. Beating those 3 sides isn't going to prove much other than holding firm in the 8. We are the new flat track bullies, we beat up on the poor teams but can't get the job done against good competition. I'm sorry to say it but this side cannot win a flag this season. Unlike the dogs of 16, and tigers of 17 we have not been able to win games against good opposition. Until we can do that, we are just flat track bullies.
  20. I would like to see McKenna at VFL level first before putting a line though him. He hasn't really played so he is a massive unknown.
  21. Interesting posts RE: Kent. In form and fit he is still a very useful player. It all depends on if the club thinks he can stay on the paddock. He might be able to move into the middle, he has some pace and mongrel about him. He is a long way down the pecking order, but I would like to see him get a run in the middle before deciding his fate.

Damn, I was hoping to get the CEO role.... Good luck to Pert, I think I would have been a more entertaining appointment...

Would rather the filth overpay home and then watch him fizzle
  24. That 2018 expiration column writes itself. There would be a large chuck of those players who won't get to put pen to paper and be delisted. Credit needs to go to list management here, I don't think we have any players under long term deals that shouldn't be. Get Harmes, Jetta, Gus and Omac under contract and you have our core locked up. The others ooc will either perform for another one year deal or find somewhere else to play. Fantastic list management.
