  1. Obviously a slow news day at SEN. Nice try Timmydrug!
  2. I think he a solid season despite a couple of lapses. Knows how to apply forward pressure and where the goals are.
  3. Well done to Hibbo but this series is a complete waste of time, why do we continue this?
  4. Probably likes the company. Pretty common for most eccentrics.
  5. Funny how clubs can make a call like that on a 20 yr old. Whoever picks him up will be the one's laughing in the end.
  6. Reports indicate Balic is a certainity to come to the Dees: "Melbourne is also set to secure a deal for wantaway Fremantle youngster Harley Balic. The Demons are likely going to part with Pick 46 in exchange for the 20-year-old, who has requested a return home to his native Victoria during this year’s trade period. From: https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-trades-2017-melbourne-sets-asking-price-for-jack-watts-set-to-secure-fremantles-harley-balic/news-story/648952ee6bbb9f6e4d3d266ce47b8872
  7. Better than the Phil Gilbert for Jeff Farmer trade PD?
  8. After watching Lever life most of this year I think its a fair trade, maybe slightly overs but that's life.
  9. Ive been watching paint dry for the last 2 days, this has been more interesting than trade period.
  10. Well done to Maynard, I think he will be ok. King im still not sure about.
  11. No trips to Hobart or Darwin; keep Alice Springs, also: 3 Friday night games please. Play Adelaide and Richmond twice
  12. What do you mean? As Wiseblood was saying we are not giving up Pick 27 in this scenario. The articles quotes: " The Demons are looking at parting with two first-round draft picks – this year's and next year's – and receive Lever and draft picks back from Adelaide." We get Pick 18/19 assuming Cameron goes to Brisbane. We basically drop 8 spots in this draft and potentially gain a 2nd rounder for Watts and 27. Its not all bad.
  13. Think your being a bit over the top here. If this trade does come through we only lose 8 spots in this draft and you can tell me the talent gap is that big from 10 to 18. Trading next years first is a risk but if it gets us the best young defender in the comp I can live with that.
  14. I cant imagine the club thinking he is worth more than Pick 29 considering the level of apathy we are showing towards him. Feels like a pointless exercise letting Jack go.
  15. Why does this period go for two weeks? Absolute snorefest so far. Surely one week is enough?
  16. Given the cultural/lifestyle differences are not that vast between Australian capitals (i.e. we all have beaches and beer) Im surprised the amount of AFL players that struggle living interstate. Most other Aussie athletes have to cope with living overseas, updating to new cultures, lifestyles and in some cases learn a new language. I think raising the draft age to 19 would be a good start.
  17. Trading places would be a better movie Edduie Murphy would show a thing or to. Knock a few idiot Journos out anyway.
  18. Watts to Port for Toumpas and Pick 13. Unless Sanity prevails!
  19. His first half of the year was not bad but after the bye he season went pair shape (or got hit for 6!). Can def be in our best 22 if he wants to be.
  20. What a sad fall from life for this guy. Just only hope he realises this is his rock bottom, stop being a dick and get his life back on track.
  21. Sad to hear but sounds like he is making great progress just like our Jesse. Im sure Jesse will want pass on his best on behalf of himself and the club.
  22. My god the AFL media are a complete joke. Just waiting for Sammy Maclure to come out saying he is off to the Gold Coast!
  23. From memory Leoni Messi was singed by Barcelona at Age 13 but under the age of 10 is not commonly heard of. There have been kids from many nations (including Aust) who have had to leave home as young as 15 to fulfil their dreams. Its always been a big problem in soccer/football as the pressure placed on these kids is beyond ridiculous. IMO AFL kids have it easy and most of the time carry on like mummy's boys I've always been surprised why so many struggle moving interstate when they really shouldn't be.
  24. Ive seen Menzel play for the Crows reserves and has struggled at the best of times. He would be a good player at Casey at best.
  25. I agree, its hard to get excited about someone who has had opportunities elsewhere but unable to deliver. Hopefully it will be a pack of chips trade if we do get him.
