2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
The link is they were newly created, but in Aussie Rules states, like Tassie is. Gold Coast and GWS were created to raise AFL profile and interest in highly populated, but Rugby states. It will take a lot more time, if ever, for them to become self sufficient in talent or revenue.

Harley Reid
In that case, I think I'll give up as it seems North may get all of the first round 😢

I have thought of a way we can get Harley Reid, or at least end up with picks 4 and 5 in this draft. Picks are based on current ladder positions. I have calculated total points gained/lost for the GC deal as that is the main determinator for them to deal. Club Pick/s to Points Pick/s from Points Adelaide Future 1st ? 24 785 Future 3 or 4 ? Gold Coast 17 1025 5 1878 23 815 46 or 56 331 or 194 24 785 West Coast 4 2034 1 3000 5 1878 38 465 Total points value GC deal 2625 2209 or 2072 We end up with picks 1, 36, 38, 46 (or 56), 91 We lose our 1st pick in 2024 but possibly gain a future 3rd or 4th although, to me, that would be icing and shouldn’t prevent us doing the deal. Hopefully the format remains legible (*it does on my laptop, but not my phone) I await the public stoning. If on mobile. To Adelaide future 1st. From pick 24 and future 3rd or 4th. To Gold Coast 17,23,24. From 5 and 46 or 56 To West Coast 4 & 5. From 1 & 38

PREGAME: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Just watched AFL 360. Kingy has hit new lows. He showed several clips of Cripps in Carltons losses getting contested possessions at centre bounces under pressure. Some clean, some not, but according to King, Cripps wasn't tough enough, too comfortable. Should have broken the tackles easier. His heart wasn't in it apparently. He then showed Cripps in centre bounces in their wins. They were almost identical, except for Kingy's commentary, "Bang, take the contact, out the front, quick kick, pure" Repeat. It's why their winning now apparently. It was embarrassing. Gerard smirked during and at the end announced the sponsor with pleasure and a smile "All the lab work is for Xero" and boy, was it!

Strong retort. BTW, this was against the 2nd placed side going for 14 in a row.

Disposals. 19 Kicks. 8 Handballs. 11 Marks. 5 Tackles. 4 Intercept possessions. 2 Goals/behinds. 4.1 Disposal efficiency. 79% Hit outs. 10 Fantasy score. 110 Coaches votes 10 Total 2022 Sam Weideman stats? No. These are the stats of Jack's last Carlton game before injuring his knee and has not been selected since. I tend to disagree with you.

Instead of emojis or one word responses, can the naysayers please attempt a reason as to why not? He's a UFA FFS!

Christian Petracca a chance to win the 2023 Brownlow Medal?
There are other Brownlow predictors. This one is on Betfair which seems to use the ESPN model which is explained below. https://www.betfair.com.au/hub/sports/afl/brownlow-medal-predictor/ ESPN is once again giving you an advantage with Jake Michaels' one-of-a-kind predictor, which has correctly picked seven out of the past eight winners, including Ollie Wines in 2021. Most Brownlow Medal predictors use a standard 3-2-1 voting structure, mirroring what the umpires do after each game. ESPN's system, however, does things a little differently. A player can be allocated 3, 2.5, 2, 1.5, 1 or 0.5 votes per game, resulting in a much lower margin for error. For example, in a game where it's difficult to split two players for best on ground honours, this system would give each 2.5 votes, as opposed to one being given 3 and the other receiving 2. Over the course of the season, the difference between the predictor and the actual votes a player tallies will be much closer, and therefore more accurate. There are still six votes allocated to players per match, and can be done through any combination of the above scores. I prefer this model because it makes my pre season Melbourne Premiership/ Petracca Brownlow wager look a lot better. 😉

Jack Silvagni
A positive would be getting him and get a hundred games into him so we can get the next generations of Silvagni's under father-son. A fear would be for WCW and the Demon Army. Would he be too taxing on their already fatigued salivary glands? There is a limit to how much one can drool before becoming dehydrated. 🙄

IF Grundy goes, Jack would be perfect as an Unrestricted FA option. Always liked him as a player. Would certainly be a better fwd/relief ruck option than we currently have. I prefer to keep Roo as a permanent forward. One question I have is, if he were called upon as a injury cover for Max mid/long term, could he do it? I would think we'd still need a genuine first ruckman on our list.

He is why I became a member 45 years ago. I cried like I'd lost a brother when he left us. I still grieve. You'd swear football was an art when he played. A truly unique player who will never have a peer in my eyes. God, I miss him.

After a bad start to the year, the Tigers have been OK I think. The AFL did them no favours yesterday and it wouldn't surprise me if they knock over the Saints next Sunday, like they did 7 weeks ago.

This ^ Completely unnecessary for Richmond to play on a Friday after a Sunday game. Why?

Advice for Getting Signatures Pre-Game
Maybe contact the club to see what can be done. Failing that, I'm sure one of the wonderful Demon Army that post here can give you some tips. Even if by DM. Good luck.

Aliir Aliir & Lachie Jones in Concussion Protocol
I blew up about this on Demonland when it happened. I was so angry that I was witnessing the deliberate creation of an unsafe work environment. All for for the sake of winning a game of football. I would not let my son be drafted to that club and would take legal action to prevent it. I'd be confident on what we witnessed that I'd win the case in a court of law. We have seen the tactics they use to target Max. There is no duty of care in anything they do. I'd suggest there are many lawyers salivating at the prospect of the AFL being soft on this because if they are, we won't have an AFL at all. At least not a game we will recognise.
