  1. If I was Freo I'd be doing the following: Pick 11 & 23 to GWS for Lobb and pick 14 Neale & pick 49 to Brissy for Pick 5, 2019 2nd round & pick 41 Pick 5 & 14 to Melb for Hogan We can then send 5 & 32 to GC for May and pick 24
  2. Word of May touring the Dogs facilities. This could actually force Freo's hand as they will know our incentive to trade Hogan this year would disappear if May was off the table.
  3. Very happy as another back up to awn & Preuss for next season and a solid optino for our VFL team.
  4. Really enjoyed the guy calling in talking about how good Matt Taberner and Brennan Cox are. In Cox's second season he kicked 18 goals. In Hogan's first season he kicked 44 goals.
  5. If a deal doesn't get done I think JH and his management would be pretty filthy with Freo. Could be the instigation to get him to sign a long-term deal.
  6. How funny would it be if the Eagles offer a great deal and they get him next year. Or even better he signs on and becomes a coleman medalist and multiple premiership player.
  7. Clubs are happy to help depth players move to clubs where they may get more of an opportunity. The North one was more of a head scratcher as he is best 22. I guess with Hall and Polec coming in they thought he was surplus.
  8. You really think Kent is worth more than this? The bloke can hardly get out on the park. North Melbourne traded a guy to the Swans who played 20 odd games in 2018 for pick 61.
  9. Better than nothing.... all the best Kent.
  10. Yeah agree. It really depends what they are wanting.
  11. The 6-6-6 starting rule will really benefit teams who are strong at centre clearances, which is great for us. A quick centre clearance will give you a very good chance of scoring. I think this is why we will want to use Preuss and Gawn in tandem. It will give us a good chance to win the majority of centre clearances.
  12. Apparently Fagan came out and said he hasn't requested a trade. Barrett then back tracked saying 'in an ideal world Dayne Beams would be at Collingwood next year'.
  13. Pick 6 is worth 1,751 points. Pick 10 is worth 1,395 and pick 23 is 815 totalling 2,210. So on the points system they would win....
  14. I won't listen to trade radio when he is on. Mind you I've pretty much stopped listening to all of them. Bartel is really the only one I don't mind listening to.
  15. Did the Brie pass it's medicals? Always a low risk option.
  16. Saw him today down at Junction Oval at the JLT one day final.
  17. Happy with this. Important players as that high pressure, tackling machine. Hopefully with a full pre-season he can have a massive 2019.
  18. 100% agree. There are plenty of one-paced mids out there. Perhaps we've already got something in the works and know Tyson will be surplus to needs.... Andy Brayshaw perhaps?? Speculation only.
  19. Agree with this. Maybe not too small, but definitely a turnover merchant.
  20. I don't see what all the fuss is about with Shiel, he's an average midfielder. Oliver, Viney & Brayshaw are all better than him and Harmes and Petracca could easily surpass him also. Last season he averaged just over 24 touches a game at under 70% disposal efficiency. He was elite only in inside 50s, everything else he is average or below average. Won't be the difference between a flag or no flag at the Bombers.
  21. Uncontracted and restricted/unrestricted free agents are very different things. An uncontracted player must be traded, either for picks, players or a combination of the two. If an agreement can't be reached then that player has to nominate for the draft and hope no other club picks him up. A free agent can walk to the other club without a trade, however often the club they are leaving will receive a compensation pick from the AFL. While your point that most players reach their destination is correct, the two types of contract situations are very different.
