I reckon every club would have a different list of best available between 7 and 20 in this draft. seems to be very even in this range So if you can your desired pick with a split pick, why not do it?

We would look at that for sure. If we are targeting a player/s at 11 that other clubs don’t rate in the top 16 it makes complete sense. You just have to be confident on your opposition intel In such a deep draft it would be great to have another pick to use a promising tall def for example

I might not know much but my experience of watching kids come into the AFL tells me that slight bodied 18yos are less likely to dominate than equally talented bigger boys. Unless you are Daicos or Butters good. For this reason, I see Smith sliding and hopefully past our pick. AFL is a brutal sport and it is very difficult to dominate the midfield. Maybe this is why he is already potentially being passed on by 4 clubs He could be the best in the draft but for me it’s a risky pick.
