Pickett looked like he was going at 70% and was BOG by a mile. Best player in the league. Howes, Steele, Kentfield, JVR all played well. I reckon Sharp played well too, I had given up on him but with his running power, the new game style might give him opportunities if he can realise his limitations. Mihocek is a broad, big unit and will have a big impact on us this year.

I wouldn't call it fully imploding. Obviously we needed a clear out. In the past the recent events would have left us wooden spooners with no hope for the future. But McVee and Trac are the only players that chose to leave. We have a good young coach, lots of quality young players and solid senior trades in. The playing group has largely stayed together and I put that down to Gawn and Viney and other leaders. I don't hold them responsible for pres/ceo etc. Seeing Kozzi sign on and other interstate kids, shows we have good team morale and attitude at least.

I won’t boo him coz i’m not 10 years old but he spent over 18 months desperate to leave the club and never did anything to stop the rumours or media talk. That damages his reputation but of course you have to acknowledge how good he was and for the flag

He walked out on the club when the going got tough. Leaders stay and try to help turn the ship around. He has shown what type of guy he is. Hope he enjoys playing in front of 8K plastic fans.

I would assume it is in the contract with Foxtel/Kayo that the AFL cannot provide a stream for games on pay TV. Otherwise people would not fork out for Foxtel

So after all the talk of injuries we might only be missing Viney and Bowey from the 22 at round 1 A few missing chunks of preseason which is not good but blokes like Salem Melksham Mihocek etc will be fine with a dozen years under their belts
