NON-MFC: 2026 Practice Matches Week 02
Either the Pies have plenty of injuries or they rested 10 senior players Bizarre to do that 7 days out from their first game. Perfect prep. But I guess most are over 30. I reckon the Pies are in real trouble this year

I know. that’s what I was commenting on Maybe just stick to the ‘no comment’

Farewell Steven May
Geelong are lauded for turning over a third of their flag team in 3 years, whereas we are painting as failures

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs Richmond
Gees the Tigers must have a long injury list, what happened to all the guns they recruited in 2024. Smilie and Hotten etc? I hope for Yze's sake they start to come on as they looked poor

2026 Predictions
Do any fans feel more optimistic about our season given our solid preseason form and the new game plan already looking to be implemented to a degree I think we'll be around the 7-11 win mark

2026 Injury List
So no Jeffo and Kentfield for the first few games at least you’d imagine. Mihocek and JVR should be wrapped in cotten wool

NON-MFC: 2026 Practice Matches Week 02
I didn’t realise how bad the ruck rule is. So if the ball is thrown slightly to one side, one ruck can’t compete for the ball? eg, the grundy example

PRESEASON TRAINING: Thursday 26th February 2026
It’s a Football Ball then. 😂

Sam McClure's 2026 A-Graders
He averaged 20 disposals and 2 goals per game. That is a rare thing. I would argue he is very consistent given his role and how damaging he is with his disposals. more consistent that Cyril Rioli was, that’s for sure. He only once average 2 goals per game and never averaged 20 touches.

Sam McClure's 2026 A-Graders
Charlie Cameron, Cripps and Curnow are not A grade over the past two years. At least not better than Kossy. Curnow has only scored 10 more goals than Kozzi and Kozzi plays a much more diverse role and averages 20 touches. What a ridiculous list

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
Kicking it almost 70m off 2 steps is not bad not bad at all

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
Most impressive was his composure from someone so inexperienced. Never blazed away, his decision making is excellent which you can’t coach

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
Absolutely Was not trying to downplay our performance. Them missing their 2 best young guns makes a big difference to their shallow list Was very happy with the effort and performance

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
So Kentfield only came on when Mihocek was injured (according to Chapo) Jeffo must be doing something amazing at training to be ahead in the pecking order in front of Kentfield
-
POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
How ridiculous are the 2 min simulation scenarios? Practice that stuff at training. People are trying to watch a match and sure it doesn't really matter who wins, but it's still a game of footy

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
In Fairness North were missing: Corr, Wardlaw, McKercher, McDonald, Spargo, Urquhart, Fisher, Dawson, Goad, Thredgold, Curtis, Mikuda, Goater, George, Jackson, Whitlock, Stevens, Banch, Trembath They will be a much tougher proposition in the season proper

POSTGAME: Practice Match vs North Melbourne
Great effort from the boys, scratchy at times but understandable You could see the new brand King is trying to bring in and it leads to exciting attacking footy!! Pickett looked like he was going at 70% and was BOG by a mile. Best player in the league. Howes, Steele, Kentfield, JVR all played well. I reckon Sharp played well too, I had given up on him but with his running power, the new game style might give him opportunities if he can realise his limitations. Mihocek is a broad, big unit and will have a big impact on us this year.
