Any idea of expected crowd? Surely 70K+
-
Welcome aboard mate! Good timing too 😊
-
Mmmm interesting indeed!
-
The Tigers fans sooked it Up so hard last year. cant wait to see more of the same tonight!
-
Agree. Team defence good. But I reckon if you get through their back 6 is poor and you can score easily and quickly
-
St Kilda’s pressure and system is very good. Right now, after the Lions, they are the biggest threat. But their defence is so poor I’m not too worried
-
Giants are finished. Not just this season but in general. No heart. shut them down and pick at the carcass
-
Where would the blues be if they didn’t sack Ratten? had a good W/L % if memory serves
-
Of the two teams on talent, giants have 5 of 7 at least
-
Last time I put money on the Giants. Worthless gutless club saints have zero ruck. Who is standing up? enjoy your money Kelly and Greene no heart
-
Pruess is a good quality ruck
-
BT - shut the [censored] up about the ball boys!!!

We haven’t had such pressure for spots in my 35 years following the demons good changes. T Mac has been average all year. Weed deserves this chance. I won’t be expected amazing things from Dunstan. He has been solid at Casey without being amazing. I will expect him to go hard and put his head over it. Be interesting to see if Sparrow or Jordons roles change
-
Can we stop saying T Mac to the wing?? He has lost any agility he had. Average field kick etc. he plays key fwd or back or at Casey
-
Based on the 18 picked IN Smith and Brown OUT Viney Lever T Mac to play back/utility. We do look tall but.
-
Why not mate, we’ve been doing it for days already! 😂
-
Terrible luck if Viney and Lever are just close contacts and missed the end of the BS rules by 1 day!

Not quite work rate but, the selflessness and team-first attitude of the Demons at the moment is quite remarkable and is even a step up on last year. Always celebrating the guy who puts in body on the line or runs hard, not just the goal kicker. Like Trac going to Harmes after he got flattened and Trac got the easy goal. Trac leads the way with this (among many others) and the younger guys follow. I have never been prouder to be a MFC supporter. We didn't just fluke a flag and fall away and miss finals the next year (touch wood) and we are not arrogant Again, a lot of the credit should go to Goody and the coaches for instilling this selflessness in the squad, so easy to talk about it, but so hard to get the end result

Carlton zero wins and a % of 33 in the third Quarter! whay does Vossy do to them at half time??!!

The very, very contentious 50 for Dissent Rule
DubDee replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
This mess certainly makes we want to watch footy less and go to games less I have felt angry about it but now it’s just embarrassing and I’m losing interest in the sport to a degree -
The Cotchin one is unbelievable. He deliberately kicked out with his studs in retaliation. Would be a red card and 3-4 week ban in soccer. such a cheap shot. Deserved 2 weeks imo. I’m glad Walker has the guts to speak up about it the MRO is so much worse that last year and it was pathetic already.

Scott wants more respect for the Umpires and he throws them under the bus straight away! they are trying to follow your BS rules! the crowds will be throwing abuse at them and booing more than ever next weekend -

As David King said on radio today - this comes from the bloke (Scott) who raised his arms to the umpires the most of any other player. Must be irony week at the AFL -

I am also a huge soccer guy, played it for 20 years. I know sometimes the players can surround the ref. But how would you rate respect of officiating between the codes? AFL mandates [censored] like this like the players are in primary school. Soccer has imo generally increased respect by allowing discussion and even Respectful physical contact between players and officiators. -

We are talking about a player showing frustration in the heat if the moment. No other sport in the world would you get penalised for simply throwing your arms up at a decision you reckon that is the same as a giving the finger to the ump? Laughable mate
