Went to the game, and YES, we were a tall short up forward. Why on earth Daniher plays Yze, who is past his best football, over Newton, who may well take this club somewhere is beyond a joke. ND cut his own throat tonight. Yze has been a good servant to this club, but there comes a time when you need to believe in youth and give them a run (especially when you have 2 wins for the year and have 0% chance to make the finals).

I was a passionate Fitzroy supporter, and I just couldn't follow the Brisbane Lions as the club was located in 'Brisbane'. Funnily enough one of my most memorable wins to watch was against Melbourne at Princes Park, around 1988, when Fitzroy were behind at half time, then Richard Osborne came out, kicked 10, and lead the Roy Boys to victory. Was anybody there too? Following the merger, I didn't really follow a 'team', brother-in-law followed Melbourne so went to the occasional game with his family(2 or 3 a year), got to know the players, and seriously got on board 2 years ago, and now I love the Dees. I spoke to Dappa Dan about this. I explained to him it's like getting a divorce, then falling in love again, and it took 10 years to find it.

Sautner is not a Melbourne listed player robbo king. He is on the Sandringham list, which means he cannot play for Melbourne.

On Channel 7 news(sport), it was also reported that Wheatley had injured his shoulder, and Moloney his groin. The reporter didn't say If any weeks would be missed. I don't recall seeing any of these guys injured on Monday, so it may be garbage. But If true, a lot of changes for this week. Did anybody else see the report?

How about Neil from The Young Ones? Maybe not, but would certainly get a few laughs Vivien would be far more effective with his agression, Mike as the assistant and Rick could be the tackle bag!!!
