Can't believe he's only 28. If Cloke is worth a 3rd rounder, then Dawes might net us an upgrade on our 5th round pick.
-
Salem has far more talent than those three, although Hunt offers a point of difference. How bout we trade Melksham instead.

About as credible as the AFL Trade Whisperer. People create AFL Trade websites and twitter accounts and post some carp, knowing that there are many people out there that need their fix of trade rumours. I should know, I'm one of them.

I remember both seasons well, and it's the reason why for 2 years I've been down on Roos and praising Beveridge. We had some truelly ordinary players, but we had belief. Anything is achievable with belief. Roos walks in and tells everyone that the players are mentally scarred. He tells everyone that we're 18 months behind the Dogs in development, a team that ends up sacking their coach and has an exodus of senior players. Beveridge walks in and doesn't say a word to the media about expectations. He just tells the players to work on their strengths, and gives them belief. He fights to have older players like Boyd and Morris retained, because he doesn't believe in premiership windows, and thinks that they can help the club win games. I pray that Goodwin is from the Northey/Beveridge mould, not the Roos one.

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here

You forgot Clay Sampson. -
I agree. Unless Stevens is a big upgrade on BenKen and Bugg, and I'm not sure he is, then I'd rather draft some kids.

I think people are being a bit harsh with their assessment of his GF. In the heat of battle, his disposal and decision making was really good. Thought he was the best of the young Swans. Swans must rate him highly to bring him back into the team for the finals, after a long lay off.

That's just utter BS. Show me one comment by a person that was bullish about the Dogs when Beveridge took over. And you talk about their culture. Their captain walked, their Brownlow medallist walked, Higgins walked, their coach was sacked, their CEO was sacked. They didn't even have a coach appointed when preseason training had started. They were a trainwreck when Beveridge took over. And Hogan can be our Boyd. Get serious. Boyd has played one good game in his career to date. Beveridge has turned him into a role player. Hogan has tonnes more talent than Boyd ever will.

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here

The difference is that Hogan will be taking up a large part of our salary cap if he stays long term. If he doesn't want to recommit, we could use that potential cap space to recruit. It's a no brainer. If he doesn't recommit, then trade him. -
I been saying it for 2 years, it all comes down to the coach. Roos felt he needed 2 years of a defensive gameplan before he let the players attack. Beveridge walks in and has his team playing an attacking style, which the players embraced, but realised that it wouldn't take them all the way. Within the space of 1 preseason, Beveridge has them being the best defensive team in the comp. And don't get me started on Roos' list of excuses when the team had a shocker. Despite having horrible luck with injury, Beveridge never made excuses, and instilled belief in his whole squad. Beveridge has been innovative from day one, whilst Roos felt he was just a caretaker coach whio could take the pressure off the club.

It's ridiculous that based on a sample size if 1 that people can say that the bye was a factor. And to say that teams played 1 game in a month is BS. As Leon cameron said, they played 2 games in 28 days, so even in a February leap year, they played 2 games.

What the hell is the club doing putting Jason Taylor in charge of recruiting? He's never been on an AFL list, so what would he know about what it takes to make it as an AFL footballer?

TBO, I don't find the credibility of his info to be any different to GNF's. -

I think the conversation would go along the lines of "what would it take to get Hogan this year". Our response would be "he's still a contracted player and we're not interested in negotiating" This will all change if Hogan doesn't recommit to club before trade week. -

I hope he's a better punter than Travis Johnstone, Daniel Ward and The Ox. -

If they're looking for confirmation, they need to go to the source, which is Dr. Turf's daughter. -

Speculation of him re-signing or being traded? -
The problem lies with the speed of the ball going the other way. None of those forwards would be considered good defensively.
-
He's got a bit of currency so could be part of the O'Meara or Mitchell deals.
-
I think it was Tim Watson, which is why I was shocked.
-
The problem is Saty, the comments above came straight after you said "I had a talk to him about it". It implies that that was Garlett's response.
-
Actually heard that on SEN this morning which sought of shocked me. You don't hear that often being said about an AFL footballer.
