  1. Tune In, which is the first volume in Mark Lewishohn's three part biography of the Beatles is a fantastic book. It's a brick of a book, running to 800 pages, that looks at the band and goes right back to the origins and childhood of each member, and tracing their early years in Hamburg. Lewisohn also draws on previously unavailable material, some great interviews and transcripts recorded by the band's first manager Brian Epstein. It's a terrific read
  2. Former AFL player Nathan Carroll on assault charges

  5. It's reported by Greg Denham. 'Nuff said
  6. The new policy of allowing only positive comments is just bizarre. Let's say for example that in 2014 Melbourne got flogged on the field and lost by 186 points (yes, we know it's happened before). So are they saying supporters shouldn't express their feelings and criticisms of what happened on the day? That people posting about that match should only post positive comments? The reason why people sign up to these sites is so that they can express their view freely. Sure, some of the criticism is over the top but a lot of it is valid. There's a diversity of views, that's the real value of these sites.
