POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs West Coast
How good has BBB's ground level work been lately? Few games in a row he's kicked goals on the move, roving off or around a pack. I wonder if it's that his fitness levels have allowed him to execute skills he's always had, or whether he's been doing specific work on it. Prob both. Anyway, it's noticeable and I bloody love it.

What They Are Saying in Lathlain
Mum's from Perth, Dad's Melbourne. As a 4 year old I wanted to follow eagles (kids are [censored] stupid) but the old man threw a Dees jumper on me for my first Vickick session, rusted on since. I remember '94 wondering why Schwarta wasn't able to rip the prelim apart. Lived in Perth for uni years during the swans-eagles era and cannot feel an ounce of pity for this lot. I agree with @binman that we will hold them at 40 and not spend tickets smashing them and that is fine. Cos the Dees rock and the Eagles can go and cook meth in a bathtub in Bayswater.

MFC Rebranding for Indigenous Round
Absolutely love this

NON-MFC: Round 4, 2022
Big test for the puddies tonight. Reckon Brisbane will run them off their feet and, unlike Collingwood, will be able to sustain it for the 4 quarters. Would love to see the Suns do the Blues in. Reckon that would cause a rupture in the narrative-scape that might just see AFL media eat its own tail.

TEAMS: Rd 03 vs Essendon
I would suggest it's worth keeping in mind Burgo's philosophy (which is also Selwyn's I assume). That is to create endurance and resilience in players by playing through stiffness, soreness etc. If you haven't, I can highly recommend listening to the Brukkie and Burgo podcast after the GF in which he goes into it.

NON-MFC: Round 2, 2022
I thought that was brilliant. Yea there were moments of concern, but it's better to have a life of colour than one of sanitised beige orderliness. In the end people largely didnt push-in too much and there was a bit of drunken revelry, no harm no foul. Great scenes, congrats Buddy

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Yea fair enough. I'm just saying he doesn't need to be a star midfielder/brownlow medallist with a big payday. But good call by you

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Gus has already shored up his longevity in AFL world. He'll have a long media career post playing days.

Grand Final Celebration at the G
Love this info! (But don't forget about Dejima 😉) I feel you mate, been over 6 years for me and the pangs of homesickness definitely became harder to handle with the Dees suddenly becoming the best footy team inthe world. I am absolutely intent on getting back for next september, cannot miss the chance of seeing another one. 👊 ❤💙

Jon Ralph's big early predictions for 2022
You'll be able to read it in my tell all book (on the interwoven connectivity between the MFC and the Frankish reign of Clovis I) It'll be titled: The Grapeviney's of wrath

Jon Ralph's big early predictions for 2022
I reckon Swans will take the place of Essendon, who I think (or hope) will do what we did in 2019 and completely [censored] the bed. Geelong might just scrape in, but long may they continue to wear bridesmaid dresses. Their relative success can't last forever. After all, all things have an end. Only the sausage has two. (Sorry, that joke is the wurst).

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Let's just not ask for a show of hands Edit: For fear of derailing a thread again, this kid is a great looking pick up by the Dees. Second edit: my quip about Belgium is a stupid reference to the fact that it is an arbitrary state, assembled from many different regions, languages and ethnic groups who were unable to break free from the imperial rule of the Spain in the 1580s. Not much unifies it other than that, and that today they are called 'Belgians'. Third edit: Carn the Dees! 2022 and beyond, here we come!

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
You don't want to get into the obscurities of nationo-ethnic, post-colonial identifiers and (the big question) whether Belgium actually exists? Good call. Hope you're well mate

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Is that how its pronounced? Roo-en? In Dutch it is Royi-en. Thought 'Roy' would just be neat and simple

Here it is….
Agreed

The Grand Final Rematch
Sorry Cassie, but this is old MFC mentality. Relax. We are now the reigning premiers; the best footy club in the world. We got there with a group who has faced every challenge without qualm. If the AFL schedules us to play Footscray and Geelong at the same time, on the moon, I would give us a sniff. Bring it on.

The Grand Final Rematch
There's no point worrying about an outcome that doesn't yet exist. We could just as easily put a tasty cherry on top of the unfurling with another resounding win. Happy to play thw dogs 23 times next year if it gets us into the Granny again.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Does anyone think we will see Dogga playing midfield minutes next year? The thought of him roving to Gawn and dishing out to the Tracc/Clarrie (Trollie) combo is, in my opinion, [censored] mind-blowing.
