  1. Two reasons. 1. I'm not sure if posting just the tweets/facebook posts keeps a searchable record for search engines linking back to Demonland. If at some future time those social media platforms disappear or the way they link old tweets/posts changes then that information is lost and any future generations reading Demonland won't be able to have a reference for or context to what is being talked about. I could just post the information in the tweets/FB posts without the original but I like to have the original Tweet/post available as the proof/source/credit for the information. 2. Some people use Adblockers. These Adblockers block the tweets/FB posts from appearing and hence if I just posted the Tweets/FB posts without copying the information then they would just see a blank post. Whilst I shouldn't assist people that choose to block our source of funding that helps pay for server & software costs I am being a nice guy. People who use adblockers can whitelist (allow) ads from Demonland.com to still appear.
  2. 100% agree that clubs shouldn't be putting their hands out just yet but who knows what the situation they and the world will be in in a few months time.
  3. I'm not asking the club to do any fundraising. It's a donation/contribution from Demonland. I'm not asking the club to do or promote anything. I'm simply waiting to hear back from the membership department on how I would go about purchasing a membership on behalf of someone else.
  4. Damien Hardwick expecting 16 1/2 minute quarters plus time on from tomorrow night.
  5. I'm thinking of donating 10 memberships on behalf of Demonland. I have an idea that I have floated to the club of something via social media. Just waiting to hear back from the club on a viable way to do this.
  6. True but there are those of us that already take out a membership and might want to assist the club further (if fanancially viable). What @george_on_the_outer mentioned above is a great option.
  7. I'm happy to contribute financially and provide a platform on Demonland (and via our social media) to get the word out.
  8. What about GoFundMe?

  11. JUST IN | Carlton FC CEO Cain Liddle confirms to us Kayo has done a deal with the AFL which will reduce a monthly subscription fee from $25 per month to $2.50, which he expects all clubs to make available to their members.
  12. No surprises. ? Richmond ? ? Melbourne ? What the 17-round fixture means for your club. AFLโ€™s 17-game fixture puts Richmond in pole position to claim back-to-back premierships
  13. $50 million of player salary cuts up for grabs. But player agents upset their players are painted as greedy. Say they acknowledge they need to take cuts. The 22-round claim was more about volunteering to give up their leave to get in a full year. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/more-news/afl-daily-rolling-footy-news-from-across-australia-for-tuesday-march-17-2020/live-coverage/b7999741d8ca6331e115a0d98b26551d

  16. MEMBERS of the Melbourne Football Club have rallied around the Club in the wake of the news that crowds wonโ€™t be allowed into games for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19. In an impressive display of unity and loyalty, over 100 people purchased Melbourne memberships on Monday, generating over $10,000 of revenue for the Demons.
